    Best £5 you can spend....

Lets not have any moaning about not having a fast enough system. Specs are something like p166 with 8mb graphics card!

Buy it, enjoy it - it's command and conquer meets quake. As ground breaking as halflife was.

You can pick up some fantastic games for a £5er these days!

In GAME i noticed 3 for £10 the other day, Project IGI, Tomb Raider I, II, III, Deus Ex, GP3, Hitman: Codename 47 were all there...its great to see some classics still kicking around

Battle Zone II is ace. I have never played the original, but I love the 1st person C&C style. Shame you can't have co-op or teams in Multiplayer.

Original BattleZone is fantastic. Was WAY ahead of its time and it's a shame it never really took off. 4 way battles on LAN at uni were out of this world.

Being able to snipe the drivers of vehicles was ace fun, and the source of MUCH annoyance

Is Battle Zone new enough to work on XP? I ask because I have bought these £5 games before only to find they are 98 only.

If it doesn't, you could always try the compatability mode thing. Works for G-Poilce, Interstate 76' and Black & White.

On another note, on Battlezone I had some real problems with one mission, I think it was "A Traitors Fate". I completed the Sion side, but when the game splits, the Traitors Fate is the first mission for the ISDF and I don't think I could do it. That or I am thinking of something else....

Thanks for the info. You have got to love five pound games. I have yet to find a single game that XP’s compatibility mode got working that would not have otherwise. I was starting to think Microsoft had included it as a joke. Glad someone else has had more success than me with compatibility mode

Take a look at http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/sear...g&sortorder=2a . Old command and conquer and first red alert are still classics + cheap.
