    Best Mousepad for Optical??

    Lo all,
I've currently got a RatzPad, but areas of it are wearing thin, and my mouse isnt picking up the pad, causing much stress and less accuracy in games!!!

So, wat mousemat do you reccommend for me to get?

What materials are best for optical mice?

    Cheers,

    Nick

Best pad I have ever used is a Ratpad. That's with a MX700.

I have an Omega Applewood desk and it seems to work best just on that, but I use my old allsop due to fear of scratching the desk...

The world's best gaming mouse is the Razor Boomslang 2100, although its not optical. The best mouse mat, is the black ice mat.

Get both, and you will laugh at the performance of any other mouse \ mat combo.

As for the question, I've not really noticed much differenc when using an optical mouse if I'm using a mouse mat, book, or desk.

Got my Ratpad GS the other day (Thank you pigboy!) and am very very pleased - even less friction than the original. No good if you like you mouse to to slide to the other side of the pad by just prodding it - but thats just how I like it.

Plus I smoke, so a solid mouse pad that can be cleaned with a simple cloth is fantastic.
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

I've been using a dark Everglide Giganta from kustompcs for the last 6 months and I have to say that it's absolutely cracking. Works splendidly with my mx700, very accurate. I prefer a pad that has a little friction, as I like to keep a high sensitivity doodah - so slipping about isn't really what we like.

The only gripe I have with it is that the grip pads on the bottom of the mouse are really quite worn, now, due to the knobbly-ness of the pad.

However! Tis huge, accurate, and seems to be lasting quite well, so it'll be staying next to my keyboard for quite some time.
