it might be just another serf who can't separate games from the hardware that run them

the xbox has more powerful hardware than the ps1 or ps2. but as a gaming platform, there are great games on all of them

Each to it's own. The PS1 was sure a great gaming platform back when it was king, but the Xbox has kept me entertained for the last couple of years too. Even to this day, I use more than any other of my consoles (that includes the 360 which actually had been unplugged and put back in the box).

So I guess it's hard to compare two different generation consoles. Both were great imo.

yeah, for it's time and as a console, i think PS wins hands down - the games were great, it was unrivalled (really) for graphics and of course there was Final Fantasy

well, i actually only bought the xbox for two games, steel batallion and fable

the first cost more than the console, and the 40 button controller is big and a pain to set up.... the latter was a real let down.....

oh, and dont forget the playstation has ace combat! for when you cant be assed with a proper flight sim and just want to see some planes blow up

playstation was no better graphics-wise than the 32x, or any of the other 32 bit consoles (atari and the like) that went before it..

the n64 came out alot later, and there wernt that many games that too advantage of its graphics compared to the ps1.

the graphics were good yes, but there wernt many games.....
