Because this is a game I might actually get I think I'll avoid the beta.

I've done enough beta's now to know they ruin the fun - partly you don't have as much fun going through because of the bugs and lack of polish. Partly it's because it's more like a 'job' and you have to stop each time, reproduce, validate, report the bug etc. Then by the time the game comes out you're so used to it that it's not as fun.

That said I still beta games I wouldn't otherwise buy.
