What an awesome game - bought it today (yesterday now?). It looks and feels simply amazing, and the control one has over the player is much more comprehensive than I would have thought. Looking at the control map in the instructions looked terrifying, but it's really instinctive once you've got going. I'll have to get on Live - the free month ran out ages ago...

Great, if we can get 6 or even 8 of us we'll play a round robin tournament.

I'll post some details up next week and we'll get something sorted. Maybe see if we can get a prize, I'm sure there must another pair of hotpants knocking around somewhere

I'd better get practicing then. I don't know why, but I play best with Haley.

Its good but how do you beat Sulyman? I cant even beat him on Easy in the first tournament. No matter where I hit the ball he returns it, I can never get him to lay it up so I can smash, and when he smashes even if I manage to return it, mostly it will go long and miss.

Its stupid. I can get to him beating the previous 3 people 11-0 or 11-1 in most games, then cant do anything when I play him in the final.

EDIT - Anyone else finding this? The difficulty of the game is either way too easy or much too hard. I've yet to have a good game. On Easy I get to the final by just hitting the ball back, which is enough to win 11-0, then in the final, I either win again that simply, or (if its Jesper or Sulyman) spend an hour trying to work out how its possible to win a game where no matter where I put my shot they return it, and eventually smash one that I can do nothing about.

At least against Jesper keeping everything to your right \ his left works to an extent, as he can't just blast through you, but Sulyman doesn't seem to have this problem.

I'm still undecided. Its fun, but the AI is either too good or not good enough.

Anyway, if you can beat Sulyman or at least can tell me how to return his smash without it going long and missing anyway (giving him a free point whenever he hits one) then please let me know.

The secret with jesper is to keep dinking it just over the net using LB for the slow shots then he keeps hammering it out . Nearly threw my 360 pad out the window with sulyman though , then remembered they cost £35

I'm finding the same thing with sulyman. I find generally play it hard and as near the edge of the table as possible, then tap it over the net while they're far out, or smack it over to one side, then the extreme other, with spin in that direction so even if they get there it spins away.

I find the best way to beat Jesper is to drop soft shots near the net and keep it off his forehand, plus play alot of side spin shots

I think the game is superb, it's one of the most 'perfect' games I've played in a long long time.
By that I mean that everything about it just seems right. Fair enough, Table Tennis is a pretty simple concept but everything in this game is flawless. From the matches themselves to even the way the menu system is so fluent.

That said, I'm finding the game incredibly difficult! I'm not the best gamer in the world as I've found most of my 360 titles difficult so far, but this one probably more so.
The Expert Circuit is just unreal, I can't get past the first opponent!

Does anybody have any handy tips for the Expert Circuit? I need all the help I can get.

I agree, fantastic game. I'd be up for a tournament, if it's still in the works.

Count me in if a tournament happens - hopefully we can resurrect that idea.
