Talking Games you want made one day

As a big fan of Battletech games right from the Battletech: Crescent Hawks inception to the Mechwarrior Mercs series i would love the possibility of playing with mechs in a mmorpg universe.

Upgrading your base mech, exploring new areas. Doing missions with squads of guys. "Instances like in wow" could be full blown invasions of towns/cities. Commander section of the game where you can develop skills and trainignt o help fight. Maybe 2 or 3 factions fighting over a dynamic world.

Before my mind runs away with me....i am at work and have work to do. Mechs in a MMORPG would be a dream. What other games would you guys love to see one day?

woow, thats an awesome Idea. I too love the mechwarrior series and that would be something I would love to see. I can't think of a game myself which hasn't been done already xD....god I have a useless creative side

    *goes off to think*

sounds not entirely dissimilar to Auto Assault (which uses carmageddon-style vehicles rather than mechs)

as for me, i don't have the imagiation to come up with truly unique idea. i'd like a sequel to System Shock for example, or some kind of online multiplayer Jet Set Radio.

Virtual hen - play the life of a chicken, laying eggs at the right time and sitting on them for days at a time. Comes with optional nest controller.

Mosque! - Get praying times and directions just right in this game of religious skill.

Burnout Boom Ooh Look At The Cars Go Bang LOL - Another sequel in the Burnout series where all skill is removed from the game and you just press the button to cause cars to explode for no apparent reason.

Christ on a Bike - Holy two-wheeled racing with our Lord and Saviour. Beat Judas in this high-octane racing thriller through the dust roads of Bethlehem.

GTA:MC - Middle Class version of Grand Theft Auto, where instead of bludgeoning people to death with special lady-toys, points are gained by the strength of the indignance in stern letters written to the Daily Mail.

Ungrateful Squawking Rat-faced Brat 3D (Ikea edition) - Chase a shrieking three-year-old boy around the Ikea Warrington warehouse to prevent him from hurling crystalware, table lamps and other household parephanalia at other customers. Ageia Physx enabled.

An online extreme sports game with boarding, blading, surfing, downhill biking, snoboarding and bmxing in. Also a free roaming online racer like the freeroam in NFS but online and with bigger areas with user content creation support.

gundam online released in europe or the US in english.....

hmm..... as for a "new" game

a planetside like game set in the warhammer 40k universe

a battletech MMO, as long as its more like the "mechwarrior" series of games, not the all embracing crapness of mech assault.... although, that actually sounds alot like steel batallion with MMO parts added.....

a space RTS like homeworld set in the warhammer 40k universe

hmm, come to think about it, a decent space game based on babylon 5 would rock! come to think about it

RF Online... it's got three factions, you fight massive wars over resources. One race relies on mysticism, but the other two can morph into upgradeable BattleMechs... AND it's Korean in origin, so you just KNOW it's got that Manga feel down right!

Oooh, I was just talking about this with the wife the other night - I came up with a game design once that I thought was great.

First, the title - Toilet Trouble.

    Descriptive. Punchy. Easy to remember.

Now the fiendishly cunning plot - you're a chap who's been out on the sauce one night and after a battering your bladder is somewhat ready to burst, so your mission is to find a functional lavatory in which to relieve yourself.
The game is timed, and upon expiration of the timer you promptly wet yourself.

You will encounter such fiendish puzzles as:
    - trying to get the key in the front door
    - skipping to the front of the queue whilst avoiding being beaten black and blue by the big bruisers with baseball bats
    - "painting with pee" for extra points

Some conveniences will be broken, some locked, some too dirty to mention.

For a real gamble you can try to go in shop doorways, but watch out for those policemen!

This is no word of a lie - I wrote this concept down with illustrations (of the main character and sample locations, I hasten to add), and sent it to a games company.

The best bit? They replied, saying they would love for me to write the game and send it to them for review and possible publication.

Alas, I was but 10 years old at the time and my programming skills weren't up to the task.

I forget which company it was, but someone must have had a right old giggle when that turned up in their inbox - all I can recall is that it was back in the days of the budget games costing £1.99 each on cassette for the Spectrum 48k.

Now, if I'd had the foresight to write to Jim'll Fix It...

You could probably do that as a launch game for the wii...

Even using the Wii controller to erm.. "aim"
