what will it be son, poo or wii?
I'm going to make my own games console out of tinsel and fireworks.
wii ftw
xbox360 when i can get one for £100
Being a PC game, I play consoles only for exclusive titles, good fun multiplayer games and racing games.
The 360 is a bit too serious, it's basically imitating PC's, has some good titles on it (I mean WILL have some good titles on it eventually, so far theres not one game on there I want that I would prefer, and have on the PC)
PS2 was kind of the middle ground, had some good silly games for multiplayer fun, and some great exclusive titles. I will get a PS3 eventually for it's exclusive titles, but I'm gonna have to wait a long time before it's affordable. I may even not buy one out of principle because of the assholes sony have been.
Wii looks like it will be the king of multiplayer fun, also the cheepest.
I will get all 3, I#m liking the Wii the best ATM, followed closely by the 360.
This is true, its also the reason why these polls mean nothing. You buy the system that has the most games you want to play, surely? No PS3 games out yet, so no answer to the poll question yet.Originally Posted by directhex

Yes you can play a lot of these games on other systems, but only a very high-end PC will make them look better than they do on the 360, and the system is so nice to play on, with wireless pads and Xbox Live.
Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Gears of War and many more to come.
The 360 has no AAA killer ap at the moment, but there is a world of difference between that and 'has no games worth playing'
The 360 is the best new console since the SNES, hands down. Quailty games, slick system, Xbox Live Arcade is superb and getting better by the day (Street Fighter II will soon take that to the next level)
Get your credit card out Hex, the 360 is loads of fun.
that's £600 of games i honestly can't see myself giving more than an hour to apiece. hell, i've gotten bored of supposed masterpiece "shadow of the colossus", so there's no hope for me.Originally Posted by Stewart
personally, the next game i'm eagerly awaiting is locoroco for psp. as for the 360, i suspect i'll buy one when capcom give me some damn fine zombie-related reasons to do so
All three look very good. I will get a 360 - and it will be between and PS3 and Wii for my second console.
If the Wii is more then a 'five minute wonder' I would consider getting one.
PS3 has had sooo much hype - I just hope it lives up to it.
I will be getting a Wii because I still, after all these years, have a need at a cellular level to play the next Mario / Zelda games. Bring on Super Mario Galaxy.

I'l be getting a Wii for sure... the N64 spoiled me, the DC also- shed loads of quality games. Imagine the multiplayer fun that Wii will bring
I love my 360 and with AAA stuff like Gears of war, Forza 2, Lost Planet and Halo 3 on the way plus quality pc ports like Fear, its just getting better and better.
The reason given is that I DO have a fairly high end system, so unless 360 comes up with a decent enough AAA title.. I find it difficult to get it. The titles now are all good and all, but there really isn't the earth shattering title for me personally.
Perhaps HALO 3, but I've lived through so much HALO and HALO 2 that the 3rd instalment would just be like chewing an apple after dinner, i.e. good but not essential. And having scrub savvy versus games like DOA4 doesnt win any points for me as well.. I'm a self proclaimed fighting game freak.. so anything with less depth than VF4-Evo or Tekken Tag is a no no for me.
The only problem is that PS3 is too darn expensive. But the gravitation from legend titles like Tekken 6 (or TTT 2), GT4, VF5.. and AAA titles like MGS4, GT5 would be daft enough to make me swipe that credit card...
ehehe.. my 2 pence..
Me want Ultrabook
Well... as you can see I've already got an xbox360 recently and that was mainly for multiplayer online action in various games like Fifa, Burnout and whatnot.
Wii - already starting the wii-fund so I can buy Wii and Red Steel. I've always dreamt of this time, where as a gamer your co-ordination and reaction speeds are going to tested as opposed to who can move an analogue stick and press the button the quickest.
PS3 - well... I wasn't really impressed with the PS2 when I had one, and with all the latest spec changes and delayed information it's not really caught any of my attention in regards to buying it.
DoA4 isn't scrub savvy, nor shallow. Its just that until you learn the countering system, the juggle system, the critical hit system, the crush system, and other tricks like slow escape, you might take it for a button masher.Originally Posted by sawyen
However, try this against someone who has mastered the above features, and you will find yourself getting battered over and over again. DoA is more scrub savvy than most at a very low level; a noob might win more games than you'd expect against an average player, due to the ease of combos and the like, but that means nothing, at a high level its deep and scrubs need not apply.
I stradle the line between average and good by the way. A rank online.
