    Neverwinter Nights 2

Anybody else looking forward to this? I stumbled across it last night and it looks cool, they have totally revamped the engine so the game almost looks oblivion (hopefully with slightly lower system requirements) and you can now control your henchmen and spells have been revamped, i wasnt that impressed with the first game, the cut scences and stuff were good but i just completed it as a matter of ive started so ill finish, maybe playing baldurs gate 2 sometime b4 hand killed my enjoyment of it a little, but ill defo be keeping an eye on this out in september apprently, which just gives me time to play a bit of oblivion if i decide to buy it tonight

Yeah I've got several interests in this game (run a NWN PW, staff member of a NWN2 site, worked on content for premium mod in NWN).

Half of me wants to say it'll be really cool, the other half of me is desperately tempering expectations following a series of dissappointing announcements.

It will probably be a really cool single player game - it does have lower system requirements than oblivion and features similar levels of technology, though nothing like the vast opennesss as it's still played in relatively small, discontinous areas that you have to load up each time. Control of henchmen and the camera is just like KOTOR (with an added overhead mode). It is in the custom content and online areas that we're not so sure how good this game is going to be.

Hmm well at first I was really looking forward to NwN2 - I loved/love the first NwN - for me its the perfect RPG style game - all the fun and story of 'real' party based RPGs, but without the hassle and micro-management that I hate about games like BG/BGII.

If they now let you control your henchman tho...I don't like that idea at all, it would change the way the game works and is played. I'm hoping that it will be optional, then I can just concentrate on playing the game
