i'd personally say gamecube, simply because the pad makes gradual acceleration easier - the ps2 might claim analog triggers, but they're not the easiest things to use compared to the precision of the cube ones...

Thanks, i wouldnt have minded if it came out on one system and then the other, but to come out together then its rather puzzling

You don't need analogue control for this one tbh. It's a full on arcade racer, throttles either on or off. Looks pretty as hell though. On medium settings it still looks like this:

how far you guys got so far... i'm finding the whole unlocking stuff a bit slow, seems to take ages before you can get any kind of performance upgrades, and all i seem to be unlocking is stupid vinyls!... anyhow, whats the best drift you've managed? i've just managed to pull a 22,415 in one drift which compares favourably to the kinda 8000max i was getting before:

also, with the whole EA TRAX thing, i've disabled some songs i dont like (ie the kinda pop-esque ones), but every time i load the game, it plays a crap song which i have disabled, which is beginnng to annoy me heh.

What the gameplay like on this game then?

Is it a Gran Turismo contender??

Some very nice captures there - but what about in game??

here is a picture of me in drag.. er i mean in a drag race , the still image doesnt capture the feel of the speed tho, everrything blurs and looks amazing :

tis a pathetic speed, only because i have level2 engine and level 1 nitro far too slow, if you want a quick feel of the game go get the 240meg demo

Been playing this on my lunch break at my new job all week this week cus im working at Gamestation now we get to play games before they're released.

It's bloody excellent to be honest.... if you are going to buy it on console it is best on Xbox, followed by Gamecube and PS2 obviously trailing in last due to it's dated graphical capabilities. It's sluggish and the loading times are pathetic compared to it's Gamecube/Xbox counterparts.

I'll be getting an Xbox at around Christmas but rest assured i'll be getting this corker of a game on PC if it's released before then.

    Review HERE: http://www.cpu3d.com/modules.php?nam...content&id=113

Was a little dissapointed in the ending tho (yes, I have finished it in less than 3 days - I was addicted, lol)

Loved the game - never seemed to get boring!

My best drift was 102,040 - That was in a Celica of all cars

    G4 PowerMac - Tiger 10.4 - 512MB RAM
    MacBook - 2Ghz - 1GB RAM - 120GB HDD

    Rotel RC970BX | DBX DriveRack |2x Rotel RB850
    B&W DM640i | Velodyne 1512
