XBox360: Have you pre-ordered yours?

Maybe this section should have a dedicated forum for 'consoles' but apart from that, have you pre-ordered your XBox 360 or are you saving up for a PS3?

Titles that I currently find attractive:

• Dead or Alive 4
• Chromehounds (a Mech game!)
• Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
• Project Gotham Racing 3

Since MS took over Activision the quality of the MechWarrior line of games fell through the floor (I think MS only released 1 title, can't remember) and I didn't enjoy it as much as I did all the titles from Activision. I hope that Chromehounds doesn't disappoint. Also I think it'll be very cool to be able to play CS:Source (etc) on this console.

I've pre-ordered from Game and Gamestation, but also know a guy that owns a smaller local shop, and told me he usually gets the consoles into stock around two days before release, and if I really want I can pick one up when he gets it.

As far as i know (just looked on webby) Activision has not been taken over by MS. Activision either gave up or lost the license to FASA, which MS then picked up.

I'm going to wait until it's released and see how good the games are before parting with my cash. Same goes for the PS3 and Revolution. Launch titles are usually pretty poor anyway.

Becuase my 'unoffical' preorder is asking my old manager to keep one behind when he gets them. If i cant get one in London Friday morning ill jump on the train back home and get the one from him.

Going to have to buy another wireless controller, 2x battery packs, 1x play and charge, 1yr Live Account, about 4 games going to be expensive.

Didn't preorder the Xbox either. Just strolled into EB (now Game) on release date and handed over £300'ish. A few weeks later price dropped by over £100 and M$ offered 3 free games as compensation for people who bought at high price, but I didn't like any of the games that I could choose from. When I complained they lied by saying that they would also post me a memory card which never arrived.
Then I got the dirty disk problem. EB kept telling me to clean the lens. After a year when I did some web research, I complained to M$ and they wouldn't cough up. Last week I bought a Philips XBOX DVD from Hong Kong on ebay. Put it in on Saturday and the XBOX works better than it ever did. Zero crashes!

I am so glad that the first release is oversubsrcibed and I will not be able to go pick one up on release date.
But I hate myself for still wanting one!!!!

The Xbox 360 does look really cool, and would be fun... but I still prefer PC's.

Waiting for the revolution and even then i want to see how it works before i buy one..the games won't be an issue there since its a nintendo console, your pretty much guarenteed a mario game, mario kart soon after, a zelda game and some crazy random but immensely fun japaneese games.

and XA04 is right PC>Xbox360 in so many ways...but i'll take my bullet now please

Yeah but i think the whole point of the thread is to ask how many people have pre-ordered X360's. If you want to make a point about PC's being better that X360 go ahead, sadly at present i just feel that the PC Game market sucks to the extreme!.

With X360 the online gaming environment for things like PGR3, perfect dark zero etc, the unified online login so you can game with friends easily etc Is why i'm getting the X360.

Thats something that isn't possible on the PC, if you are in BF2 you can't see a mate play CS:S etc.

This is the first console i've had since a sega megadrive and i honestly feel gaming is moving back towards consoles...
