    The Ship -PC

I've finally got myself onto Steam and downloaded The Ship. Anyone playing it?

I've only played it for around 15 mins but I plan on giving it a good going over this evening.

it looked to me like the game would get boring after a short time, and the graphics are a bit of an insult to the source engine imo

interested to see what u think tho

It looks like a pretty cool concept, but I don't really get enough time playing games to justify buying another one at the mo.

That said, it's only $19.99 on Steam (about £11, currently).

Not sure yet, graphics are slightly taking the p*ss.

Is there not voice chat on STEAM? I hate text talking.

I may review it, or might just do a First look depending on what I think this evening. Either way I'll let you know what I think.

I bought it because I liked the game concept, but I just spent the first 15 mins getting stabbed in the back and wondering what I was supposed to be doing.

That'll teach me not to read the manual

I've read about this in a magazine and in all honesty it doesn't really sound that good and doesn't float my boat at all.

So, the idea is that you've got a name and have to go and bump this person off without being seen, yet everyone else on the boat has a name as well so while your chasing your target - you too are a target for someone else.

Steve - maybe they taken voicecomms off to stop lamers shouting out peoples names to see where they are, or to stut up the 15 year olds that seem to frequent the HL2DM servers and CS source servers while playing on daddy's account

Sure, I'll do one. It will probably be the end of the week though, once I've finished ChromeHounds review

    Hmmm.

Doesn't tickle my fancy to be honest, the game concept seems really flawed.

You run around looking for your next target, and then you get killed by someone else? Seems pretty frustrating and repetitive to me.

Repetitive it is and frustrating if you don't get to grips with the map layouts. Not bad for the money, but I'll doubt you'll be playing it all over the summer.

Read the review and I think I might pick it up, sounds very unique and fun if it plays out as it's designed. For 11 quid I won't be losing much.
