If you havent completed HL DO NOT READ!!

    Hi

I managed to complete Half life today whoop. I know it has been out for ages and ages only started last week.

A year ago - I got to the final boss on a 333 celly, 8mb AGP. got some 640x480 loving going. I couldnt jump in the guys head.....

its quite cool the end, its just plain irritating that after the credits they just leave in the dark! why do some many games do that!!?

I did both ends, which were nice G-man is s dude, or a freak! i havent decided yet!?

Its a cool game, hopefully the gameplay/life on HL2 will be just as fantastic Im worried they have got so carried away with the graphics they have forgotten gameplay.

Either walk through the portal that the g-man provides so you can work for him for ending 1, or don't, for ending 2, and face the hords of monsters.. hehe.

INDEED HL2 looks ultra fantastic tho, can't believe some of the source code was actually stolen.. just adds more delay.

I don't think I actually ever completed HL. I think I'll start playing through it, then OPFOR, then Blue Shift, then 2. I remember getting quite far, then having to give the game back.... oooh, no, I do remmember completing it...

The stand alone demo and other extra levels were quite cool.

I'm playing through Half-Life for the second time, about two-thirds of the way through now. The first time I played was with a PIII 600, 64mb memory and 32mb TNT2, this time with a PIV 3.0, 512mb memory, 128mb Ti4600. What a game! Just as good the second time round, maybe better with the higher resolution I can get. Its still the King of FPS's in my opinion and I've played most (but not all).

I turned to playing it again when I found I wasn't going to get HL2 until next year. I've also been a second time through Deus Ex, AvPII, RTCW and SOFII in recent months!

I remeber playing this game at a m8s in 1997 when it first came out, seems like yesterday. The first real amazing pc game to impress me. I really hope hl2 impresses me as much, looking at vids ive seen it looks very impressive, very interactive.

I know a lot of people dis the graphics in Half life. But i have to say that in 1024x800 (or bigger) even without AA+AF and anything else on, i think that the graphics do look good!!

There arent any big scren 'wow' graphics but it is just so.

I can saftly say that i have played a lot of other games which are newer and with worse graphics.
