    Oblivion Mod Hotlist: Discussion/Opinion..

I thought it might be a fun idea to post your favourite Oblivion mods here..

    Mine:

    -gameplay-
The official plugins (esp. Dunbarrow Cove and Vile Lair)
Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul (soon to be 1.3)
    Inebriation by Lap
Hilarity (adds about 50 new spells which are f*** funny to play around with e.g spells that make NPC's have an urge to pickpocket people)
Unofficial Equipment Rarity Patch OR Rare Items (levelling rebalances)
    -graphics-
    LOD retextures
Blue Water Lagoon (removes the murk underwater)

    ..more to come..

That thread is months old so dont worry, Personally I like the mod that makes shopkeeps keep all their goods in a chest in the shops. make burglary more worthwhile.

and one that makes armour collectable from the arena, forgotton the names of both though :\

I got a few of the mods myself, the official ones are dead easy to use. Simply extract them into one of the directorys inside the install directory. Then start the game up and select the mods you want from the autostart screen (think its in extras) by checking the ones you want activated.

Once you get in the game as soon as you start you will get the familiar quest boxes popping up telling you where to head etc.

I have been wanting to try Oscuros mods but have read they arn't compatible with current savegames and I don't fancy starting from scratch after 80 hours play !

If you use OOO, you shouldn't need Rare Items/Unofficial Equipment Rarity Patch, as OOO already does something similar.

I'd also recommened Natural Environments, Book Jackets, PJs Spell Compendium, Bella Moretta, Portable Pastiche, a UI revamp depending on preference, KeyChain and any item things that take your fancy (I've got loads but haven't played in ages! Been modding a bit myself and am also waiting for OOO/Split Infinity to come out)

Looking forward to the release of OOO 1.3, Split Infinity and Reneer's Guard Overhaul and the new version of Fur Crafting and Fletching & Imbueing.

Because of the way the game works - it has a master .esm file which is the default game (containing all the ingame scripts/item locations/positioning etc.); you then add .esp (elder scrolls plugin) files which are separate - as the official plugins are just .esp files, then all you have to do is keep a copy of them and ALL other files that came with the download (eg the additional texture archives). If you formatted and reinstalled, you could just paste them back into the gamedata folder.

Yeh i forgot about OOO having rebalances, but i like Rare Item as well

WHOA just read the wiki on Split Infinity.. sounds amazing..
