Upcoming 360 Peripherals

Anybody thinking of getting any of these?

    Wireless Headset

    Wireless Force Feedback Racing Wheel

    HD-DVD Player

    XBOX Live Vision Camera

Apologies for the poor pictures of the camera, all I could find.

I love the look of the wireless headset and think I'll definately be picking that up. I'm not keen on the standard headset that's supplied.

The Racing Wheel looks ace and I'd love to have one but a) I can't afford one and b) I don't know how I'd use it comfortably in my tv room.

The HD-DVD Player I'm not interested in. The upcoming new dvd formats don't interest me, I was a very early adopter when DVD was released and one thing I've learnt is that early players are usually poor. I have a tip top DVD player now that upscales my DVD's, connects via HDMI and looks fantastic.

The Live Vision Camera will be a great little gadget I think, I'll definately be picking that one up too.

No, but I'd buy a bigger HDD.

I will get the HD DVD player when it comes out and the steering wheel from ebay after four months as I can imagine it will be quite expensive.

How about some Mix-It bundles? *wink wink*

I will get the camera purely for some added comical value on Live Uno and the wireless headset because it looks cool.... and i hate wires.

Im tempted by the hd dvd add on but i think it will be overpriced and outdated quickly- better to play the waiting game with this next gen format war. A stand alone player will no doubt piddle over it and M$ are sure to put the boot in to us early adopters by putting the new drive in an xbox 360 1.5

Not really interested in any of those things, I wouldn't mind a wireless headset but that thing looks completely useless.

What I would like is a way to plug in any headset I want without modding anything.

There should also be a wireless adapter for the PC to allow your wireless 360 joypads to to work on it (actually, looking at the 1st picture Parm has posted of the Camera, it appears to be just in shot to the right).

I would also like the wireless headset.

Wouldn't be bothered with the headset as the wired one just plugs into the wireless controller anyway. I might get the HDDVD drive, but seeing as all the games are DVD, there's no real reason. I'm not going to start buying next gen DVDs until a winner has emerged, or both are fully supported. I'm not going to be a Betamax backer!

The racing wheel seems the most likely for me to get hold of. I almost bought the Mad Catz one the other day as I love PGR3 so much.

The XBOX Live Vision Camera is now available for pre-order on Play.com, due for release on October 6th.

There are two packaged to choose from:
The Live Vision Camera (£29.99) which consists of the camera, headset, one arcade title (Uno) and 1 months subscription to XBOX Live.

The Live Vision Camera + 12 Months XBOX Live Subscription (£49.99), similar to the contents of the above package, but this one has a 12 month XBOX Live subscription included. Although play.com don't mention it, I'm pretty sure that this pack will also include a second free Live Arcade title, Robotron.

Following on from the post above, Amazon.co.uk are in on the act too. Here are there offerings:

Wireless Headset (£25.99), due for release on October 27th.

Wireless Force Feedback Racing Wheel bundled with Force Feedback edition of PGR3 (£79.99), due for release on December 1st.

The release dates as far as I'm aware aren't official, I'm just stating the dates that Play.com and Amazon.co.uk have listed for the products.

The Racing Wheel weighs in a little cheaper than I'd expected, particularly considering that it comes bundled with PGR3.

I'd be tempted by the HD-DVD but depends on the cost and tbh I probably wouldn't use it. If I upgraded to Live Gold then I may well get the headset too.

I hope they release a patch for PRG3 for those of us with the logitech driveFX wheel & who already have PGR3.
