Which Next Gen Console do you plan to own?

I know this has been done before but wondered as we are hearing more and more about the machines themselves if this is changing anyone's opinions.

For me, I plan to get a nintendo Wii as it just looks so damn good and different from everything else. I don't really have a use for an XBOX 360 as I have a pc to play same/similar games on and PS3 sounds overpriced(I've heard between £300 and £500) and overhyped.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    A Wii.

Anything a PS3 or 360 can do, a PC can do better. A Wii is truly unique and looks like its going to offer affordable innovative game play.

I'll be getting the Nintendo Wii. It looks interesting, and I'm looking forward to some of the games like Warioware and some golf game

i expect i'll own all of them - eventually

for me, a console is merely a means to an end - that end is great games.

right now, i've not seen any true killer apps on any of the next-gen systems - though i'm waiting to be proved wrong

I think the biggest thing on the Wii is the control system which physically gets you involved in the game. Be interested to see what a fighting game would be like.

it'll be interesting to see whether anything pans out properly on this front - it has incredible potential to be either a flop, or a brief gimick.

i'll wait to have my own play on a wii before making my mind up on whether the games really warrant the attention on the hardware

Got a 360. Will get a PS3 and Wii depending on the games.

Judging by the number of games being developed for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in parallel, it's doubtful I'll get a PS3 until it drops to below £300.

I got a 360 on release and love it to bits, had it for almost a year now and think it's a fantastic piece of kit.

I'll be buying a Wii around Christmas time cause Nintendo games always appeal to the kid in me and I love the idea of their new control system.

I might pick up a PS3 later next year if there are some good price cuts, at the moment the Blu Ray drive isn't of interest to me as I'll be getting a stand alone HD-DVD player.

    Well said that man

Although if I had the money I would go for all three. Why? Well all three consoles have (or will have) their own unique, innovative and fun games and features. The problem is that for me, the XBox360 and from what i've read the PS3 will not have enough of these special, unique games/features to justify me purchasing them (bearing in mind I can only afford one).

A large majority of them will be available on the PC (or already are) or will simply be PS2/Xbox sequals/rehashes..

My wii purchase will also be influenced by the fact that I own a cube and a DS already, and a wii is the next logical step..especially if the promised wii<->DS interaction holds true to something better than the cube<->GBA interaction (which, while a fun gimmik, was pretty useless - like the dreamcase VMUs).

Ofc the biggest draw is that I like the games nintendo produces - zelda/mario/bomberman/mario kart/metroid/pikmin etc etc..sure these games may be more 'cutesy' and childish than Tekken X or "Super-street-fighter-turbo-charged-double-or-nothing-Vs-the-world-#920512" - but they are immense fun, which is what matters
