NFS + Dual PS2 pad Converter

    Hi all,

I'm trying to use the PS2 dual pad converter from play.com to play Need for Speed Underground but it keeps permanently scrolling?!?!?

Is there any fix for this? OR is there an address / website that I can suggest a fix too or can get help from?

    Cheers,
    Nick

wen u turn on your system or plug it in make sure all the buttons/analog sticks and everything are centered.
i.e. - ure not touching them or there not leaning on somthing.

happens all the time with me gamecube.

I've been try so hard to find the latest drivers for these USB Dual PS2 to PC Convertor XP.

All i can find out about them is they are called "smart joy 3"
and are made by joytech but there website has no mention of them

Im getting sick of it really have had the original ps2-usb converter from play and they had new drivers but still crashed in games and froze the p.c.

When these new ones appeared i'd thought it would have been better but it isnt..

Games i have found them incompatible with are
    Rallisport challenge
(Does not work at all, strange error where it wont let you start a new game, unplug usb joypad and it works)

    CMR3
(Crashes after a little while, use MS default drivers and it works great but theres no forcefeedback)
    &
    THPS4
(Work without crashing but only if you use MS default drivers, which lose Forcefeedback)

If anyone knows where to get the latest drivers let us all now

    I've found a newer driver dated 08-01-2002
    http://www.hkems.com//files/EMS%20USB%20JOYPAD2.zip

The ones i got with my USB Dual PS2 to PC Convertor XP were dated 23-09-2001

Still does not fix the crashing for me, but might help with other games, give it a try with NFS underground.

Still, even though its digital it may be worth trying the calibration, as with my old joypad (just an 8 day d-pad) it would need calibrating as the centre was slightly off (in Windows) and calibrating it would get it centered.

Have you disabled the second controller in Device Manager?

It thinks theres 2 controllers there even if you only have one plugged in.

    Happened with me with LOTR:ROTK.

    Oh man thanks auron!!
That tip worked a treat, im still using MS default drivers for the PS2 controller but i had major problems with THPS4 where when i went to select a character to start, the screen was going mad and also when i tried to enter my name in the same thing happened!!

But now it runs great, might risk installing the proper drivers again and disabling the second port as you suggested..

Also i can play Rallisport challenge again, which i have not been able to play for months

    Thanks again.

Disabling the 2nd port / or plugging another controller doesnt work with the drivers provided...

Might uninstall the drivers + use MS's own :/

How'd I install it using just XP instead of the normal drivers supplied in that ZIP / the CD?

    Cheers,
    Nick
