    Neverwinter Nights 2

Coming out this month Who else is excited? (EDIT: Hmmm seems game are a bit slow at updating thier web site, it's actually released on the 20th of October)

It's being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the same guys who made the sequel for KotOR so hopefully this should be great. Unlike KotOR II however, the game has has a graphics overhaul to put it up to scratch with modern games (although TBH, NVN didn't have too bad graphics to start with).

Looks like you can get two special edition boxes of this, a Lawful Good edition and a Chaotic Evil edition, AFAIK those are the only two limited edition sets. So we've got the two extreme ends of the D&D good and evil spectrum in boxed form. Apart from the packaging they seem to come with mostly the same stuff.

Play has an exclusive on Lawful Good: http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1121...n/Product.html

Game has the exclusive on Chaotic Evil: http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.as...341&mid=328838

According to play (they seem to have a more complete list of content) you get:
    A NVN figurine
    A NVN art book
A pewter ring (don't eat it whatever you do )
    Cloth Map
    Artwork and music CD
NVN and both expansion packs (!!!!!)
10 pre-generated characters (of the alignment of your pack)
An item (I think this depends which pack you get too)

Play has it £10 cheaper than game, pity I want the evil pack

Saying you get so much it's a pretty good price, pity I just bough NVN deluxe

My local store are getting the special edition in, not sure whether it is good or evil though. Maybe they will be getting both so a decision can be made by the consumer. At least with this I will get the 2 expansions for the origional game also !

Can't wait for it to be released, the store are also saying Oct 20th release.

Can't wait either, the special editions sound cool. Think i'll have to go for evil though, always made the BG games more funny chosing the not so nice responses.

I can't justify the price of the special editions seeing as I've got the original + both expansions. I've seen the normal edition for as little as 20 quid already so I'll probably go for that.

Of course, we're still producing stuff for the original (Wyvern Crown of Cormyr is *almost* finished!) so there's life in the old dog yet
