Anyone still play Quake 3 on-line multiplayer?
I still do

just the demo though, not the full thing

It's right good fun

Tell me WHERE to get Q3 Gold, which is for Mac and PC, and I'll buy it...dabs say <1 week, but do we trust 'em on that?

I've got Q3 on Dreamcast, with Keyb and Mouse, but....I'd love to have the flexibility to play it on the go with my lappy(s) and on me desktop too! Though not at the same time, obviously, because 1) it'd be illegal and 2) I'd die more than usual what with only having two hands.

Dabs new £17 for Q3 gold...anyone got better deals for it new?

i got plain q3 out of a bargain bin for £4 a few months back

i bought the game for £25 when it was first released way back when, but i needed another serial so my brother could play too

Had UT when it first came out, played it through over and over again, but it seems to have problems with newer nVidia cards...I've got a V5 PCI though, so if anyone wants to donate me a Slot 1 motherboard (the one I have is useless - something wrong with the chipset I think, only works partially with one IDE device, and not with a mouse at all) I'll load it up again....

But there's nothing wrong with a bit of Q3 either, and its multi format!

Hey im only kidding

I have only played quake 3 and unreal tournament. IMO quake 3 is better. If your talking about the newer games then i cant comment becuase i have not played them- due to tnt2.

Also to be fair i have only played the dreamcast version of unreal tournament- which was a dire conversion

Unreal.T has to be better imo. I havnt bothered really trying 2k3 but from what I see it looks more purdy, might aswell wait till 2k4 they i'll get keen

. As for Q3, The first decent fps (deathmatch/CTF) I played. Gotta bow down

I still play Quake 3 online. As does my clan. Against other Quake 3 clans. And then there are all those clanless people who play for fun. Quake 3 is far from dead.

OK..gotta defend Q3 for a bit here ...I am an Unreal Tourny man..through and through.....

BUT......if ya want FAST....so fast your brain must move up a few notches...

Q3A is IT.....its is cartoony, its a bit brown as well, and its tighter than UT......but its SO DAMN FAST ....

Quake 3 is great, however can't compare to the legendary Quake 2
