i bought a 360 the other day with tdu () but i can get it to connect to pc. ive got the windows media connect software on my pc, and it can see the console, but when i try and run network settings on the 360 itself it recognises the wires connection but fails to obtain ip. any ideas? i know the lan card works btw.
are you running a software firewall on your machine?
im presuming your xbox works on your home network normally for live and the likes?
I had the same issue when I set mine up
Have you set the right permissions in the media connect in Control panel.
You need to allow the xbox access and then run the setup on the xbox360 to generate the unique number to synch the xbox with the PC.
