Maybe this is a silly question, i don't know, as i don't really play games too much at the moment. Just curious which game (if any specific one) has the best graphics. I was under the impression it was FEAR, but then my mate got Condemned yesterday and imo it blows FEAR away.
Are there any games with even better graphics than Condemned, since i just got my new pc and I want to try a demo of the most graphics intensive game to see how it runs.

Farcry looks amazing still now, there is also a HDR patch available for it.
Elder Scrolls Oblivion again looks amazing even on medium settings.
Thief Deadly Shadown looks really nice if you get the texture packs for it.
Those are just a few of my favourites. I usually go through a phase of installing and playing older games when I upgrade to see what they look like in higher resolutions with higher details set. Alice still looks pretty damn good now considering its age and that runs on a modified Quake 3 engine.

And Lineage 2 looks superb on even an old machine (except the ground textures, which are dull)
the knockdown replays in fnr3 for me i think.
i thought condemed was nice graphically, but not the best. its scary as hell though

Hehe yeah it's all dependant on what you think makes up good graphics. If it's shed loads of particle effects then something like FEAR is good. If it's stunning vista's you're after then Oblivion seriously amazes, and Far Cry ain't bad either.
For my own interpretation Oblivion wins, today at least.

Fancy a look at Oblivion but doesn't look like you can get a demo which i guessed since i think it's only online isn't it? :/ Oh well.

ive not played a brand new game for a while now, but when playing Farcry I caught a glimpse of the view out of the corner of my eye and actually stopped to have a proper look. This has never happened before!

FEAR is based on the Lithtech engine, the same engine (well, an older version) used in AVP2. It's come quite a way since then.

lith's an ancient engine, which has seen a bunch of revisions, all the way back to Shogo: Mobile Armor Division in 1998. the current version (Jupiter Extended) is the 8th major release
