    PS3 - Japanese worth getting?

    Does anybody know if the Jap PS3 will be mulitregion?
    Im thinking of preordering from here

    I doubt it is. Everyone thought the Wii would be but it's not. Anyway, why do you want to buy that piece of junk?

    Japan is region 2 the same as us, unless sony decide to do their own region encoding.

    Would be surprised if they would even ship to england. Sony banned playasia from importing PSPs when they first came out and i think that still stands : http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...n-70-1afg.html
    So wouldnt give much hope for them allowing the PS3s to us Brits.

    DVD regions differ from Blu-Ray regions. We're NOT in the same Blu-Ray region as Japan.

    Thats clever of them...also they're favourite markets of US and Japan are together and Europe is out in the cold. Europe seems to get a seriously bad deal each time in the PS3 world. And I can't understand why, yes there is of us to buy one but surely if less people bought them then its never going to look good, is it worth risking an entire market?

    I bought a PSP on launch from Playasia without any problems. Got hit by a small import tax bill, but no other problems.
