Fifa 07 demo on live marketplace

The first fifa in ages to be built from the ground up. I will be giving it a shot when i get home to see if its any good. If anyone gets a chance to try before me, please let me know

still think pro evo will spank it though

I tried it out this afternoon, I think it's good but to be fair I haven't been very involved in football games for the past few years so I'm not sure how it compares to recent stuff.

I enjoyed it though, it looks nice and plays really fluently. It is certainly a step in right direction after FIFA World Cup which I wasn't too keen on.

What I really liked were the chants, I scored and got a "U, N, I. T, E, D. United are the team for me!"

If anyone can work out how to backheel please let me know, there doesn't appear to be anything in the manual that tells you.

It is not as good as PES 5. Gave it a good go and its just not as responsive. Better that the old carp they used to pump out!

i actually like it, it feels a lot like pro evo, turning the pass assistance off seems a good move too as it makes things a bit harder. The presentation is pretty spot on as usual.

Think i will still stick with pro evo, but fifa is making a good step in the right direction.

    I'm with you zulander
As much as i have loved pro evo ever since my last fifa (world cup 98, ahem i feel a little old) i feel that it's kind of stayed in limbo in the last couple of years
granted it's made great gameplay improvements but every year i hope they will make a concerted effort on the presentation front.
Considering the effort the ea team must put in on these overhauls, maybe not all the time , it makes me wonder how much time konami put in.
having said that i havent played pe6 and i'll still probably get it, but for the first time in a few years i might rent fifa to see if the spit and polish can turn me

Been reading a few magazine previews of Pro Evo and they've not been great, basically saying that the game is the same as the last one and the graphics haven't been improved on.

Still can't wait to play it though.

I can't get the demo to work, I get a message saying that I need Direct X 9.0c installed to be able play the game, even though I already have it installed . I've checked the DX Diagnose and there doesn't seem to be any problems. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Still not sure wether to get Fifa 07 or PES 6, have owned a few Fifa games before and havn't really been a big fan of them. Though it's been a while since I last played one, this one seems to be getting decent reviews and seems to be a big step up from earlier versions. I played the PES 5 demo a while back which I liked(played like real football) though found it to be pretty frustrating, also the lack of official teams is a little off putting.
