As much as I would love to game on my Athlon XP - its at home and I'm in Norwich

Does kinda suck, but by the time I leave uni I'll probably build myself a shuttle anyhow...

If they want to alienate the market that's their own choice. It'll just lose sales and show that the developers aren't in touch with their userbase .

On the other hand it shows that they are moving with the times and expect gamers to keep up with current technology

    The newer athlon X2s work?

Well I'll download the demo and see

Edit: Just read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2#CPUs_supporting_SSE2 and it seems the X2 supports SSE2 so I'm in the clear hopefully.

They'll also hopefully add in dual core support, as R:TW played in fast forward for me if I didn't install those AMD drivers

no other game requires this. If it is in the full game it is ridiculous

Bah. Never mind, I'll just stick to Rome. Having said that, I haven't played it in ages. Hmmm... I'm tempted to get it out again now!
