    What RPG?

I'm looking for an RPG that would last me quite a while. I'm looking at Morrowind at the moment, at play.com, you can get it for under £20, full game and the two expansion packs.

    What do you think?

Morrowind is a loooooooong game it will keep you going well into next year and beyond...

Take it you have played the Baldurs Gate series of games if not why not They are very good, and probably a bargain on play now considering they are a few years old.

Baldur's Gate + Expansion and BGII but not the BGII expansion, its in a completely different style and runins the way the game works. The portraits and everything are in a different style like it was made by someone else.

Morrowind is quite good, but Diablo II is just old and borind to be honest. It's ok if you haven't played it before though.

Morrowind ISNT actually that long, ppl are overwhelmed by the epic that surrounds it but about 25hrs of play into it and u will begin to see some thread ends, and about 40hrs and its complete, aint tried the addons but i dare say they are as long as the original.

diablo 2, it rocks. I still occasionally fire it up with my Paladin on Hell, and I die, again and again. Fiendish.

really addicted to knights of the old republic atm myself. Really really slick game. sadly I dont think it has on-line capabillities but the single player is really good, I have been playing it just under 20 hours now and there is no end in sight, looks like a rather large game.

Diablo 2 with the expansion is really good. Its also fun online.

Dungeon Siege is really good but the story is pretty poor and linear, experienced games players will be able to clock it in around 15 hours start to finish, Diablo 2 is much bigger.

Morrowind I couldn't get away with at all, just didn't like it. Its kind of a hybrid 3rd person rpg type thing. My brother thinks its great but I think what got me was the 3rd person type gameplay, think the graphics look a bit chunky.

Baldurs Gate 2 was superb, I don't normally go for turn based RPG's but this one is really good. I also REALLY liked Planescape Torment, Just the humour of the dead skull that follows you about giving his advice etc on everything even when its not wanted. You can't go wrong with it. Both these games are huge.

Revenant, very similar to Diablo in the way it plays but not quite as big. Can't go wrong with it though as you can pick it up for £5 now on budget.

Warcraft 3, absolutely superb. It has RPG elements to it as well as being resource management like C&C. The story on it is really good.

Age Of Mythology, I really like this one just because of the setting as I've always been into mythology. Kinda plays like Warcraft 3.

Ultima Ascension, Similar in the way it looks to Morrowind. I did prefer this to Morrowind even though its a bit older. Story on it is pretty good and its really big. You may have a bit of trouble finding this one now though.

Got to agree with Ultima Ascension, in its day I had several late nights with little sleep due to this damn game.

Have gone out on a limb and ordered Baldurs gate 2 plus expansion to try out.
