    Black and White 2

Wow! I havent had a chance to paly it properly yet but visually its stunning. Tis an oldish game now but its amazing! I just hope the gameplay is equal to its looks.

    Hows it compare to B&W1?

I am thinking of buying it at the moment as it's really cheap on Amazon. I never really had time to play the original. I doubt I'll have much time to play this one either but you never know

Enjoy RTSs? You'll like Black and White 2.

Loved the originality and differentness of Black and White? You might be disappointed.

As I said in the review, this is Black and White Lite... all the mystery and 'learning AI' is removed from the game.

Obvious through their omission are the side missions and any real depth. A great, great game ruined by the sequel...

Interesting review Nick. Hmm it sounds like a shame really. Number 1 was great fun all the way through and you actually felt like a God figure, but now it seems like your playing the Sims and just keeping everyone happy, well thats what i gather from the review.

Well im going to give it a go and see. But i am dazzled by the look of it. Incredible!

mmm that seems to be the problem with Peter's games, they look awesome but for some reason they never get the gameplay bit quite right.

I remember a quote from him saying B&W2 would be the best RTS ever, I have no idea what convinced him that was the case.

Believe me, it hurt to write that review... I'm such a massive fan of the first game.

Ahh, but did it hurt more than your homage to Black & White that's on your arm ?

I was dissapointed with B&W2 as well. I thought B&W was a refreshing change apart from the first bit which walked you through as if you were a loony for the mental asylum.

And it does that in B&W2 as well...

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that as well

I played it over 1 weekend and then I banished it to the "average - could be better" dusty bin
