    Xbox 360 headsets

Any way to get any headset working with the 360? I've got nice sennheiser headset I wouldn't mind using for xbox live but I've not idea if I can connect it up without doing some modding (which I deffinitely don't want to do).

I found [Text=thishttp://us.codejunkies.com/shop/produ...l=1&ProdID=419 on the datel web site that lets you connect any 2.5mm headset to your controller. Problem is, PC headsets have 2 3.5mm jacks so I'm wondering if plugging both of them into a splitter and then getting a 3.5 to 2.5 converter would work?

If not I might buy it and that Halo 2 headset thats supposed to be good.

EDIT: Actually looking at it, it looks like you can just plug in a 2.5mm headset (like the original xbox one) and it'll work, but you just lose the volume control and mic mute functions.

I've got the Halo headset - it will work with the 360 pad. The only way you can adjust the volume (without any modding) is through a menu on the 360.

TBH, I prefer the official 360 headset to the Halo one.

I don't think a splitter would work. If you look at the separate jacks you'll notice a band that runs the circumference of the jack separating the positive(+) and negative(-) contacts (I'm guessing this, it could be the left and right channels for what I know).

With a combined jack there should be two bands separating the Mic(+), earphones(+) and common(-) - or at least that's what I think they're for. I think a splitter would only have the 1 band and share the signal between the 2 connected devices

If I were you I'd wait until next month and get the official wireless 360 headset.
