    Gothic 3 out!

(As long as you read this on the 13th )

So anyone planning on getting it? Sounds like it's even more taxing on computers than Oblivion. Also sounds like they had to fix quite a few bugs both prior to release (this is the 2nd gold version) and post (a patch has already been released).

Just don't be so noobish as to ask the same thing this american did on the gamespot forums:

Sadly enough I will not be able to play this game because I will be deployed in mid-November and I live in the states. If the UK version is in a language I can understand then I may just order it off Ebay or something but I don't want to drop money on this thing if I can't understand a word of it.

    haha.

Yes, will definitely be getting this... once I build a new machine.

My laptop wont be able to play it but its managing pretty well as I play Gothic 2 again. Great game.

As you say, lots of reports of poor performance possible due to bugs.

Get working on those patches Joowood

Back to the game, it looks damn pretty, not read much about it yet though.

The problem is you Brits speak in what seems to be an incomprehensible language to us Americans. I have an easier time with Italian and French than with British English! Written of course everything is easy .

Yeah, I'm not sure who's responsible for the marketing over there, but they're doing a terrible job - I think I knew more about even Gothic 2 than this game.

They do have quite a bad history of launch bugs, but equally quite a good history of getting them patched up.

Found the first english review from CVG (pre-patch): http://www.computerandvideogames.com....php?id=147535

    Looking forward to this one.

Gothic 2 was superb, ate up an awful lot of time, enough going on in-game to keep me busy.

Hopefully my 7600GT will cope OK...

Having read that I'd have to change my mind and agree with AWM. I'm British but can't understand what Madduck says even in writing.

Although apparently thier accent is more like older english than ours is.

I saw this in the charts on play and didn't realise it was out, think I might buy it but I've got so much I want to buy right now, my bank balance can't handle it

In the last few months I think I've bought more games than I've done all year.

Damn them for releasing all these great games around christmas.

that got me thinking... do people in the states usually refer to there language as American English?

i myself am waiting for them to rename it "Freedom Language" or "American Freedom" in homage to something or other

I guess I should make my thoughts really clear:

To americains a thick british accent is practicly impossible to understand (especially over a PA). It's not different words, just a different pronuciation. I use the term "British English" to clearly differentiate between it and "American English". The differences between these two langaguages is mostly pronunciation, which does make compreshension difficult, and vocabuary, which is much easier.

Madduck, you are completly right about our government being childish. It is very embarasing to have a government which acts like a bunch of 5 year old (with very bad morals and no ethics). I must point out though that your leader is, for some idiotic reason, hanging out with our idiotic leader way to much.
