    BF2142 Bargain Price

This should really be in the Bargain Section but since some moderator decided it would be fun to ban me from there you guys get first pick. I have asked some questions to the seller (as have some others in completed listings) and the deal seems fine to me. Just make sure you use PayPal via a credit card.

Item will be sent out on 19th according to seller.

Spyware is the same reason for me. First you pay virtually full price for a game and then you get watched! No thanks! Long time fan of the BF series but EA can now officially stuff it where the sun don't shine. I feel sorry for Dice and all the other companies EA get to rape.

I don't think EA will learn though unless everyone stops buying their games (unlikely to happen at all since they own The Sims franchise), or theres some kind of mass boycott? >: D?

I think you will find that most companys are extremely happy to partner with EA. Your product gets a massive, potentially worldwide, exposure, access to hosting facilities and the ability to partner up with the worlds largest game publisher.

i played the demo and didnt really like it. As everyone is saying it plays and looks like a bf2 mod. BF2 plays a lot better and also if you are going to go futuristic why not make it a little bit more interesting. I mean from the sounds of it every level is basically snow covered. Wow, variety is the spice of life!
Well, I can cut it in half!

I don't know if anything which admits to be there can be called spyware? That said, it should surely be advertised on the outside of the box and anywhere where it can be purchased as a download. If I bought this and saw that, I'd take it back.

I always wondered what would happen if you took a game back to a shop and said "when I installed it, I read the EULA and decided no, I do not agree with its terms, therefore I am bringing it back to you as I am entitled to within 30 days" (or whatever the EULA says).

Anyway, it's adware surely? And definitely a bad idea, watch your feet on this slippery slope people

I'm still buying it, i've been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced, i loved the demo and i dont give a damn about 'targeted in-game ads'.

Sure its spyware, but then WoW includes a root-kit ffs! That's not stopped me playing WoW

in anycase there are ways around this issue if you know what you are doing...

At least Blizzard supports their game and supplies us with freebies (like new instances, etc) (Reguardless of it being an MMORPG, Valve do it too for CSS)

Yea good point keith, EA just dont listen to the customers feedback. all they care about is making money (not a bad thing) but they really need to start listening to us customers though.

i've never played this new bf game and i dont tend to unless im realy realy bored

lol i could rip that to pieces so easily, in fact, I will.
    [rant mode]
Blizzard support their games? Do they heck as like. Lets see...a problem with a quest..you message a GM - and you get told either:

    a) There is nothing wrong with this quest, but we will investigate
    b) There is nothing wrong with this quest, please drop it and re-take it
    c) We will investigate [and then never get back to you]

You get constant disconnections to a server..you email or call blizzard and after a few months get a reply telling you to check your router/firewall etc...its actually their servers that are the problem but they wont ever admit this of course..

I could go on but this is already way OT

Free extras? I know of NONE. You pay 9quid a month for them, thats why you pay them..Warden is much worse than what EA have put in. Warden scans every program that runs on your computer, it looks at the name of every open window and checks whats currently in memory..and all this for nothing - bots are still everywhere and popular botting software like Glide is updated 24/7 with each warden patch ensuring that warden never stops it from working.

    ahem [rant off]

Not meant to personally attack you mate honestly, just blizzard and their shocking support..i've had much better experiences with EA myself..
