Neverwinter Nights 2 - PC Specs

    Hi there,

My partner's really into her RPG's, although not totally up on hardware, whereas I'm kinda the opposite (opposites attract and all that!).

Anyway, with the ever increasing requirements for games, I've been looking to see if NWN 2 will run on our comp. Officially, it will, but in reality? Don't mind turning settings down.

    Comp is:
    SocA Sempron 2500 (1.75GHz)
    512MB DDR RAM
    Radeon 9550 128MB (AGP)

The 9550 is shder Model 2, so should be OK right?

While we're at it, how would this comp run Oblivion? Anyone with a similar setup?

    Cheers all!

    (That you Steve?)

NWN2 'should' run, but will be so slow to not be much fun. We don't know yet how much you can turn down - would be better to wait for the game to come out so we can discover it's performance preferences.

Oblivion runs on that card, but you need to use a couple of mods (low poly grass etc.) to be able to turn details up.

You spent £200 on that NWN2 graphic card upgrade yet then! ;o)

Don't need to - last card plays it fine

Might get an X1950Pro or something though - they might even be doing an AGP version which would sort you out for both Oblivion and NWN2
