    FEAR Extraction Point

You guys played this yet? My copy arrived yesterday from Game. I love FEAR, easily my favourite game of this year and have played it through so many times I care not to remember so was more than eager to get home from work yesterday to fire it up.

Its nice to see that they haven't meddled with the formula too much, its still the same FEAR as it always was. The action is still as intense as ever, perhaps better in places due to the larger more expansive areas you fight in. The scares aren't really as scary anymore, Alma shows up every now and then, Paxton is back (and his opening gambit is cheesy as hell) but Im so used to seeing them that I actually welcome their appearances. Still, all in all good FEAR fun. Looking forward to getting back home tonight to finish the job.

I bought my copy this morning. Liking it very much so far and very true to the original. Performance is a little on the slow side though compared to the original and it seems to have lost the 1280x1024 support that the original gained.

Just to say I have now completed the expansion pack. Overall a great expansion, although given how poor most expansion packs are that ain't exactly saying much. True to the original possibly better due to the lack of a lame ending.

It runs like complete crap. I have to run it at 1280, which sucks.

Im stuck. ive just met up with squad mate, after the massive warehouse battle with turrets. he moves the thing, so i can open the door, but there is nohere to go? Fettel appears, and thats it, no where to go.

Welcome to the much vaunted FEAR engine - I never understood the fuss over it given how most of the game is constructed from right angles and I always though the HL2 not only looked better but ran far faster. Spend money on Dark Messiah instead it's much more fun, looks nice and runs like stink

Runs well for me too, maxed out but dropping to 2x AA. Finished it last night and I had a right old blast with it. Some say 'meh', I say 'yay' - horses for courses.

If you loved the first (like I did), you'll love the expansion pack (like I did).

More of the same really, but that's no bad thing .

Must of been a bug, as Holiday opens the door, he was just standing miles way before, so i couldn't continue.

It's fun, but why the **** does it have to be so dark, arrrggg.
