    DOW: Dark Crusade!

    Anyone got this yet?

It's not due out in the Uk till next Friday. I pre-ordered it from importmadness.com (never ever use this website). It's well over 2 weeks late, totally useless. iam really pissed off, i so want this game.

The 2 new races, the Necrons and Tau, look awesome, and have totally different play styles.

The old 5 races, all get new units.

It seemed cool I played the demo with 2 Tau missions they seemed to play completely differently from any of the old races

    It is a fantastic game!

Well balanced, and the new races work well. Necrons are very tough in groups, and tau destroy anything at range. Nice new units for the other races as well.

Yeap. I've been battering this game with my housemate and a few mates over the last weekend.

Awesome game and THQ have improved the engine compared to the other games and I reckon this feels a lot better than previous releases.

The necrons feel a slow and weak - they're much harder to complete the game with than the Tau.. That said, there's fun to be had with either.
Great game, no doubt and the new campaign mode is an interesting addition - although it can be a bit of a slow constantly fighting over the same territory.

So many games, so little time. It's not easy being a gamer who's a: married and b: working for a living. It doesn't leave much 'quality time' for killing stuff..

Well obviously I meant "it's not easy being on the game" lol

I've no idea why but I've a horrible habit of simply missing out bits of words when I'm posting thesedays.. Perhaps i've just killed too many braincells with beer..

You obviously didn't watch QI on Friday night then: beer doesn't kill braincells - TV soaps do

I've been waiting for the Necrons to be a playable race for a while, as they're my favourite race in 40K (well, Necrons and Fallen/DA space marines).

Necrons are slow, they have to be, it's called balance. Weak? there the most powerful race. If you let them tech up your in serious trouble. Really a lot of firepower is needed to destroy them. hell there free necron warriors are seriously durable, and most of there units do good damage to infantry buildings and vehicles.

The monolith rips apart infantry for fun. It's only weakness really is walkers in close combat. The Necron Lord, with the upgrades is easily the best hero.

_If you let them tech up_ - the reality is that the other races can rush you before you get the chance which makes them harder to play with (esp. if you're not playing it on higher levels of difficulty) than the Tau. Their 'vehicles' are a bit pants too - I much prefer the other races in that respect.

Relax, that's all I was really saying - I didn't mean to insult your favourite race in a computer game ev-ar Having almost finished the game twice over now I felt I might be able to have an opinion but, hey, +1 for you matey. Remember all I said was "The necrons feel a slow and weak - they're much harder to complete the game with than the Tau.. That said, there's fun to be had with either." You might want to note the latter part
