    Just bought an Xbox 360 :) :) :) :)

Woohoo, finally bit the bullet and bought one today from Game. Got their pes6 & PGR3 & extra wireless controller premium bundle for £299. They also have a deal instore whereby if you a console you can get a game from a choice of 6 for £20, so i went for COD3. Traded in my old xbox and got not far off £100 off as I had a ****e load of games for it (only kept hold of Halo2 and Forza ) so paid just over £230 for the lot

Excluding obviously GoW, what other games would any of you peeps recomment. Preferably ones with a multiplayer section as thats where I do most of my gaming these days Did anything ever happen about the PES6 Hexus Tournament as i will be up for it. I have yet to play it though..............

Also, I am very impressed with the 360 Live software. They have done MUCH to improve it over the original xbox. Just downloading the test drive unlimited demo as it sounds like it could be good. Also got the 360 streaming music and video from my PC which i didnt know was possible, so thats a BIG BONUS

I think this is my longest thread so far........ can't really string it out much longer........
Well, I can cut it in half!

Call of Duty 3 has 24 player multi-player. Go for that.

lol, I understand your excitement. There's many great nights of gaming ahead for you Tony. Rainbow 6: Vegas is worth waiting for, but have a look at the demos as well to see what you fancy. If you like RPG's you could go for my personal game of the year (until GOW comes out hopefully) Oblivion. GRAW is worth a look for multiplayer and PGR3 for driving is a must. TDU wasn't as good as expected online (I don't think), ermm Saints Row has been patched and is now a decent online game, Tiger Woods if you fancy putting your feet up with a coffee, Call of Duty 3 (although haven't played it online) is definitely worth a look for single player.

Or you could always have a dabble with the Xbox 360 arcade games.

As someone who has come straight from Xbox, let me know what your thoughts are on the voice chat options. I personally think they took a backwards step in that department, although the live vision camera has now helped matters, but those chat lobbies on Xbox were excellent.

Ah the joys of first getting the Xbox 360, I remember that last year when mother dearest phoned me at work "There's a parcel waiting for you at home". How wonderful it was, people at work were talking about how they weren't able to pick one up anywhere on launch day due to being sold out. I'd had Dixons of all people deliver it to my door, talk about luck!

The feeling of opening the box is so exciting I'd tempted to sell my 360 and get another one to do it all again.

As for which games, I would echo what Steven has said. Be sure to check out the demos on Live Marketplace, there are loads available so you can try most of the games and then decide to buy if you like them.

You must get Geometry Wars. When I got my 360 last Xmas I played this more often the CoD2. Wonderful game!

Thanks for the responses everyone. I am very tempted to go for dead rising, as that looks really fun.

COD3 Multiplay is absolutely great........when it works I am having real problems connecting to any matches! Last night when i brought him home it worked perfectly, now it doesnt I have looked on google and this seems to be a common problem at the moment. Oh well, I suppose i will have to knuckle down with the single player campaign, or maybe I will get round to opening PGR3 and PES6

Also, for any fps on console haters......i used to be one of you, but even having only played COD3 for a handful of hours I am consistently coming in the top 3 every match, and this is the first console fps i have ever owned. Also with xbox live there is a bigger feeling of community than i ever felt playing bf2 and ut2004 on the pc.

Steven, thanks for your response. I never really used the voice chat options on my original xbox as dont know anyone else with an xbox and live. My xbox live login name is Xx GreekTony xX, so any of you on live please add me! Is there a hexus xbox clan? If not maybe we should start one??
Well, I can cut it in half!

No there isn't. Unfortunately I couldn't join as I've been with a clan for 4 years, but if one of you guys wanted to start one I could get loads of matches sorted out.

COD3 that good huh? I actually enjoyed it but ended up selling COD2 after a while, might actually give it a shot.
