You can get it on play.com too
Play ftw tbh
It's been a while since I've groped behind my 360, how does this connect up?
so 480Mbps is enough for smooth HD content? That's interesting....
Sounds good although I now can't seeing myself buying one as I sold all my old DVD's last year because I don't watch them. I'm guessing the same will be the same with HD DVD's.
Its all about streaming HD films![]()
Yea, that's my point (And 480Mbps is USB2) - sounds way too low tbh...
Well I stream HD sometimes over my network to my 360 and even though it's 10/100 it only has a 10mb/s sustain rate so I should imagine that it would be fine.
They really REALLY need to get an hdmi cable though with hdcp support or their HD-DVD drive will drown quickly.
They could enforce is sooner though. I think it would be a smart move for Microsoft to be prepared.
I think Microsoft are prepared, they've said on a few occasions that they're watching the market and at present HDMI isn't a requirement for the majority of users. They have said they're keeping an eye on it and when the uptake becomes significant, they wouldn't have a problem releasing a HDMI cable.
I personally am thinking of getting the HD-DVD addon, I have a HD plasma and with the player only costing £129.99 it just seems to be too good a bargain to miss out on. It even comes bundled with King Kong!
I've never been a fan of console players, stand alones are undoubtedly the better option. But both HD-DVD and Blu Ray players are just far too expensive, I'm not in a hurry to get either so I'll get a standalone player much further down the line when the second or third generation players are out. Until then the HD-DVD addon will do me fine.
