thats what i used to use, i threw it out as everytime you let go of it the force feedback cuts out and the stick falls to the side, next thing your players running in circles
when i say old school i mean super-oldschool like pre-force feedback
the connected is not usb and the only slot that fits is on the soundcard? so i guess i cant use it anyway
yeh u can, and windows has the drivers built in
you have to go and detect it via game controllers in control panel and sidewinder (auto detect)
thanks g0nzo! saves me buying one for the time being. tho the controls seem rather clunky... cant remember if it was smoother in the past or has always been like this tho
play with the options in game ben, you can increase/decrease sensitivity there on a per role basis. ie just for the plane / chopper
i meant that when i turn the stick... it doesnt go in a smooth circle at all
bit worn out is it ?
try playing operation clean sweep single player that way u can fight aginst he comp pilot. If u can own the comp pilot then u are skilled enough for the basics.
ive tried to setup the joystick but BF2 doesnt seem to recognise when i twist the joystick right or left, but i take it this is the normal way to roll ? ive tried using the hat for rolling but its not ideal
if twisting the stick corresponds to 'rudder' in the game controller config in control panel then theres def something wrong as rudder is all over the place. i tried recalibrating. joystick is a microsoft sidewinder 3d pro. and is very old!

Like everyone says practice flying planes and helicopters in offline or empty servers before using them in ranked servers.
anyone?
