Well if you want a new CD key it's going to cost you money. The other two aren't so hard.
I just wish they'd use the unique hardware ID's thing more to really screw 'em over Get them on a PB master ban list. that'll ruin their day.
Reported quite a few to bfroe.com. This is one of the things i really like about BF, is the communities ability to report cheaters and explots and actually get something about it.
Exactly, I'm glad to see the BF community actually help sort out Dice/EA botch up or bug? I can see easy methods of totally removing the issue of stat padders but only if they impliment them. E.g. if the score/time goes over a certain rate as a very crude but simple method but lots more that can be thought of.
Right now there's an official poll running on EA forums about what should be done to stat padders. Many are saying that they should be completely banned and have all their points stripped. Some are saying temp banning etc. Good to know at least something is being actively done.
see this really funny thread, I love these guys:
try not to laugh too hard... edit: it was funny yesterday, it gets even better today!

Its good to see such a stance taken by a big company. I stopped playing FEAR online due to cheats and the morons that liked to attack their own team. Takes the fun out of the game for everyone.
Good to hear, its a sad thing when people have to ruin a system just to look good....i just play the game and get the points i deserve, if i want more points to get promoted i just play more...awesome reasoning huh ;p
thats hilarious, i accidentally got 5000 points.
Anyone who knows how that hack works knows it's impossible to do it accidentally, his responses are great. Reminds me of thread from the steam forums a while back, I cant find it now though.
He was also threatening to call the police for being banned from servers for cheating.
good going EA

Glad to see them doing something right.
1. create a game which can be easily exploited
2. sell game to people
3. ban people for using exploits
4. people will have to buy another copy to keep playing
= super massive profit
im not saying EA had this all planned out or anything.,,, but it is working in there favour right now

Thought there'd be some decent play on the official CTRL+ALT+DEL server
I hate to agree with Madduck on this one, I don't like exploiters as much as the next guy, but these people shouldn't have been banned, they should have thier stats reset. It's one thing to hack a game to win, thats against the EULA, the hackers broke a contract and face the consequences, a ban.
But people who exploit a bug, sure they're not the best people to be playing with, but it's EA/Dice's fault that the bug is in there, they havn't gone against the EULA so shouldn't face a ban, the customers who've been banned for exploiting the bug have every right to demand an un-ban and an apology.
With Halo 2 banning, if you hacked you were banned, if you exploited a bug, Bungie realised it was thier fault, and not a breach of the EULA, so they didn't ban. ZOMG they fixed the bug instead, shock horror, a developer FIXING a bug?! Oh wait, not all developers work for EA.
