    Anyone got GOW yet?

So then, has anyone got it yet?

I'm interested to see if people think its as good as the hype.

Get my copy at 5:15 tonight from a friends shop, and I've got tommorow off to enjoy it.

All I can say is it's flippin' brilliant, and far surpassed my expectations (I make it a personal rule not to believe the pre-launch hype). I can't honestly say it deserved the 100% scores it got from some websites, but trust me when I say that this was what the 360 was made for. Better than Halo in my opinion, which I don't say lightly. 98% easy.

I'm not sure how people can claim there's no innovation. Sure, it's mostly just a Third-person shooter, but I'm only on Act 2 of 7 at the moment in, and there's been plenty of cool gameplay mechanics thrown in so far, the beserker and 'Pitch Black' levels being stand-out moments as Danger Frog mentioned.

Multiplayer is also very cool. The levels are small and balanced, so 8-player doesn't seem limited at all. I particularly like stalking people, making clever use of cover, and then chainsawing them from behind....mwahahaha!

I've got the day off work today to get my motorbike repaired, so I intend to spend the rest of it ripping some Locust mofos apart.

Hope you all get your pre-orders soon.....add me on XBL when you do and we'll have some fun!

I'm itching to get my hands on it but I can't find anywhere that's selling it today!

I phoned PC World and Tesco, both gave me a straight forward no.

You need to offer the manager a pint and the cash to put it through the till tommorow morning, always seems to work if you ask discretely.

Interesting to hear someone not liking it as every person I've spoken to so far has loved it. What did you feel was wrong/not as good as the hype?

Played it for a few hours now and while its good it isnt 10/10 as some of the reviews have made it . graphics and sound are incredible as is the chainsaw melee attack
Couple of things drag it down though , your squad ai is useless they just run in and get wiped out leaving you to deal with all the enemies which take about 50 bullets each to bring down , also there are too many actions mapped to the A button which can be a pain in a firefight.

I thought about driving up to Tesco in Telford later tonight but if I won't be able to play the game with the volume up high in the middle of the night anyhow.

Looks like it's going to be tomorrow now.
