    Gears of War on PC?

    Just spotted this whilst waiting for the missus to come back with some drill bits from B&Q (dont ever ever ever buy flat pack furniture from MFI people!). This aims to impress that GoW will be coming to a PC near you some time in the future;

    http://www.younewb.com/index.php/200...-war-pc-photo/

Not sure if I believe the pic, could be easily photoshopped or a concept image but if its true, and we know the engine is PC based.... Well, that kind of kisses goodbye to me picking up a 360 any time soon... Make your own minds up ladies and gents.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...

I saw this as well but I decided to go out and buy a 360 anyway along with Gears of War. The game is awesome and beleive it or not it has kept me off the computer for at least a day!

It'd be nice if it were to be released on PC, it'd give more people the chance to play it. It's an amazing game and it'd be great if PC users could play it too.

If I had the choice, personally I'd rather play it on my 360 on my big screen in Co-Op mode over Live. But it would be nice to have the choice of playing on PC too.

It might just be a representation, but the text seems to indicate that its a photo. If thats the case then their blind because its not a photo imo. If it is then its photoshoped, and badly I might add. It just doesn't look real in anyway shape or form. I have read the rumors of GoW coming to the PC for months now, none of them have been backed up by solid evidence, I'll only believe this when the horse speaks.

It's a marketing mock up. no saying the guy who did it even knew the difference between a 360 and a PC

Think it's going end up like halo, it'll be on PC, eventually.

An international law should be passed that makes these companies tell us for sure whats happening with these games, otherwise us gamers are just left wandering around in the dark bumping into things and getting confused and frustrated. Though my guess is that GoW will be released on PC. Without the PC platform Epic wouldn't be anywhere near what they are now, maybe even non-existant. They owe us this much!

My bet is, it's not going to be on PC, just like Halo 2 isn't....

THink this might be yet another "Vista Only" game release to get gamers buying Vista.

Now I know I will get flamed for this but, I never understood the big deal with the halo series. Fair enough when they came out on the xbox they were good for the time as they didnt have much in the way of competition but when you look at the PC fps lineup, Halo doesnt come close to HL1 & 2, the battlefield series, farcry etc

Both Halos had far to much backtracking for my liking and the levels pretty much all looked the same..... it seemed whilst playing that you were just repeating the same levels over and over again. So i'm not expecting to much from halo 3. After playing GoW and a bit of R6:Vegas, if i doesnt have a cover system implemented I wont be that interested.

And seriously, how long has halo 2 been out for. Who here can honestly say they will be getting for the PC. It is a bit of a joke it is vista only. Looking at todays crop of PC game Halo 2 looks positively dated.

Oh well, each to their own i suppose.....

I think its coming out on Vista only as its going ot part of the Microsoft "Live!" line up, which I believe is going to link in the Xbox Live!, and Vista gaming platforms (to a certain extent). So its not that its not technically possibly for XP, but that it won't be playable multiplayer with XP - which is the only reason I'd buy Halo 2 anyway.

So they are planning on having PC and xbox gamers playing against one another? Seems a bit pointless for some games such as fps. I imagine with auto aim off, the average pc gamer with a mouse would obliterate most xbox players, and what with the years time difference between the same game being released on pc and xbox most people will have moved onto a new game by the time it appears on the other platform.

For racing and sports games however the boot (hahaha) would be on the other foot.

Halo 2 is still one of the most played games over xbox live and it was released ages ago, I think people will stop playing it when Halo 3 comes out

I agree with you about xbox and PC gamers playing together, xbox live users are going to get prawned every time (if you look at the top gamers for Halo 2, they mostly use a keyboard and mouse).
