    been playing some more xbl

Shooters to be specific... really feel like watered down versions of their PC counterparts and the people who play would so get killed even by a noob on PC. I know this been done to the death but still I hope MS have the sense to add full keyboard and mouse compatibility.

lets just face it, FPS's are not designed for consoles and its an insult for developers to make "Xbox only" or "Playstation only" FPS's... The keyboard and mouse is still the number one if you want to be the best, the original statement made by AlCapacino is absolutely correct!

I never thought I'd get used to the controller in FPS games but it feels perfectly natural to me now and it no longer bothers me at all.

So much so that I personally hope we never get a keyboard and mouse for the 360, it'll just make all the games unfair. At present it's nice to know that everybody is using the same controller and it's therefore an even and fair playing field.

i dont sem to have too many problems sniping in gears of war, just ask tony's head

makes up for all the chainsaw kills he gets on me.

and Russ is mean with a torque bow

I used to hate playing fps on a pad, but as with anything, practise makes perfect, and although im not as good as i am on a kb/mouse combo, every day i get a bit better to the point it feels just fine now.

also i get the impression you troll to a degree al, almost every one of your posts is either slating another system or complaining baout something. If you dislike gaming so much then its time to stop.

I do see where your coming from Al. For years I've been an FPS PC gamer and I could never understand why FPS games were brought out on consoles. I think the 1st FPS on a console I tried was medal of honor on the playstation 2 and I hated it! I could not understand how people played it!

It was only till very recently that I started playing FPSs on consoles which was when CoD3 was released, I bought it on a whim and kinda regreted it even before trying it. But after about an hour of playing the campain i'd got used to the controls and was absolutley loving it! Now I haven't played an FPS on my PC for several weeks which is a long time for me!

Joypads are fine once you get used to them, and they feel much better than keyboard & mouse (using the triggers tro fire, all the buttons in easy reach etc).
Plus it slows the game down slightly, which is better. Its more realistic, you can move too fast with a mouse, and be almost too accurate.
Ive got both a PC and xbox 360, ever since I got the 360 I havent touched my pc, so I think that says something. . .

This debate has been done to death.

Yea FPS are easier to controle on PC's with the keyboard and mouse, however as consoles the majority of using will be using the same pad at least it is an even playing field. Also as the majority of 360 owners I know have a PC as well they use the 360 to improve there reactions for when they play on the PC, as lets face it if you can control a crosshair with a joypad then its going to be a lot easier with a keyboard and mouse.

I have played a VAST amount of FPS games on PC and have been part of several clans..... however at least with consoles (well the 360 anyway) you know everyone is playing with a similar setup and also there isnt any cheating going on atm. PC's you cant guarentee this in the majority of games - look at CS and all the issues that game has had in the past with cheaters using aimbots and OGC etc....

Sometimes complaining is the only way to get things fixed. If people didn't complain there would be a lot more wrong with the times we live in.

PS3 comes with full keyboard/mouse compatibility as standard. MS are primarily the PC software company. Is that not worth complaining about? A software fix would resolve the issue and you have 2 USB 2.0 ports on the front which are perfect for the job/add a wireless combo.

And last, how is what I say even remotely related with disliking gaming as a whole? That statement is so far off the mark I can't even see it. This is not trolling, this is something to bring up again with the hope people might realise it's a step backward and something that can be easily resolved.

    ---

I know some people think it will create an uneven playing field, but would you rather play FPS like CoD 3 or GoW on a crippled gamepad? PC players could do something similar with some modfications and no one would know about it. Last, those who think it will create an uneven playing field and don't like it, buying/playing PS3 wouldn't work for you because that will have the very situation of a mix of kb and mouse vs gamepad players that you dislike.

Al you seem to forget that these are GAME CONSOLES we are talking about not PCs. If you want to play hunched over in front of a small screen then play on a PC. I prefer gaming on a 42 inch plasma screen, stretched out on a sofa, maybe with some mates playing coop or DM at the same time.

You obviously dont own a console because of all your constant whining about them, so why do you post in here. Stop trolling, it gets boring very fast.

I do agree that keyboard and mouse makes for a more accurate control system, but if a game has been primarily designed for the PC then I play them on the PC. GoW has been designed for the xbox 360 so the controls don't suck and are perfectly playable. When UT2007 however is released that I will be getting on the PC as it will be a PC game ported to the consoles not the other way round.

    And Al.......... stop trolling
Well, I can cut it in half!
