Hey guys,
Just a quick feeler to see if anyone has this and if so, how it compares to GTR/GTR2? I know its made by the same people, just the demo was shocking.
Cheers!

I get the impression that this game is seriously rubbish!
Looking about the net feedback seems to be quite negative on this one. Maybe worthwhile waiting for a few more reviews before making the decision.
Either that or go for something like Toca 3 which Nick done an excellent review on here at HEXUS a few months back.
or if you're a real man.. you'd get GTR and GTR2..
Me want Ultrabook
LOL I have both of them, im just keen to try a different game. Im a fan of touring cars, but if this game isnt GTR/GTR2 with touring cars instead of GTs then im not interested.
Just wanna get a flavour of what everyone else thinks before I buy it!
It seems that Race is a little disappointing when compared to GTR2. They're made by the same people, so there's no reason why Race shouldn't at least look and sound as good as GTR2, but the graphics are actually slightly bland when compared to GTR. There's also nowhere near the variety you get with GTR, as there are only a few different cars in the WTCC. All I can think of are the BMW 320i, the Alfa 157, the Seat Leon, Chevrolet Lacetti and a couple of Honda Accords. So that's four front wheel drive cars and a rear-drive BMW. Not a great variety there. And the support championships are a joke. Racing old touring cars from 1987 sounds awesome, but there are only two cars, the BMW M3 and the Alfa Romeo 75. The other support race is for the 2006 Mini Cooper. I can't really see the appeal of that. A car like that is within reach of most people in real life, I'd much rather there was something a little more exotic to play with.
And only ten tracks?! Granted Macau is epic, but all the others, with the exception of Brands Hatch, are tracks made for 700bhp GT cars or F1, not 300bhp touring cars, so they feel too wide, and laps feel like they take too long. That's actually my main criticism of the WTCC in real life, too. Touring cars are designed for short, tight tracks like Donington and Snetterton, not 5-mile long super wide GP circuits like Monza. It's just not a lot of fun, to be honest. All in all, I'll be sticking to GTR2.
Oh, and don't bother with Toca Race Driver 3 as mentioned above. I have it, and although the graphics are pretty good, it's handling is terribly unrealistic, in fact, downright unpleasant.
