For those who have completed Gears Of War (warning spoilers)

So who thought General RAAM was dissapointing? I actually completed the game on hardcore with my mate for the final act and a half (we were at same point and thought screw it, he was on casual before tho )

The boss is pretty easy and predictable, has crap aim it seemed and we just blew his head off with dual sniper rifles. On 1p it would of just taken longer. The kryll part is the only part that is harder, but easy enough.

I did like the train part shooting those flying dudes, and the bezeker was seriously easy this time around. Overall I felt the game was really quite polished but just a small chunk of a large cake. It kinda scratched the surface and I know they are making a trilogy of Gears.

But really wasnt the ending a little annoying? It's like ok we let off the bomb but they're still alive. No real explanation of anything or Marcus's story either. I guess those will come in sequels.

Overall I thought it was a great game but it didnt amaze me. It's probably better than Half Life 2 SP and maybe Doom 3 ( I prefered the latter, one of the few ). Half Life2 had a better beginning for me but started to tire nearer the end.

Oh and best parts in the game? For me the Pitch Black parts and the factory area, the sky and rain in the factory area was quite stunning tbh.

Anyone elses thoughts who completed it? I'll be starting insane with my mate when I can be bothered sometime.

Isn't it a trilogy, thats why some parts have not yet been explained I guess. I remember a little announcement before its release plus the fact its coming to PC.

Epic have debunked the rumours of the Trilogy, but there will no doubt be more games in the series. They have actually said "Why stop at 3?". They pointed out that other games (GTA, Final Fantasy and some others) have lots more than 3 and prove to be ever popular. Therefore expect to see more, maybe a lot more, of the Gears franchise. They've also recently denied a PC version, but it wouldn't be a huge suprise if it did end up on PC somewhere down the line.

Now onto the game. I thought Raam was actually quite good, on Insane mode he took us 45 minutes to beat in co-op. The game however was definately a little short, very satisfying but certainly short. It really only scratches the surface, but with that in mind it is truly an exceptional introduction for the Gears world.

My favourite part was Act 4 I think, the one where you come back outside and it actually feels a relief to be back in the light. You're in that huge courtyard with loads of enemy coming from all sides, then you get those two boomers as well. Great fight that one.

Fortunately for me the multiplayer aspect is superb, now that I've done everything in the single player I'm hooked on Live play and can see myself spending a lot of time yet on this title.

I thought the last boss was great. I found Raam hard enough to beat on casual

Don't know if I was lucky, but I beat him first time round on Casual and hardcore (on co-op though). Ending wasn't as great as I'd expected, but still mustn't grumble.Insane level takes the mickey, haven't got past Act 1 yet.

I seriously struggled beating the last boss on Hardcore and had to drop it down to casual were I found it relatively easy.

The game was very good all the way through and I had the same sense of relief in act 4.

I too have started Act 1 on hardcore and it is significantly harder
