What do you think is the greatest ever videogame based on a movie?
So that's movie to game conversions.
I was thinking about this, because we'll shortly have a review up on Superman Returns, the latest game/movie tie-in.

Lord of the Rings stratigies. I'm not a big fan but it's the best game based on a movie I've played, every other game I've tried has been awful!
I have heard that the up coming superman game is actually suppose to be good, I'll be waiting for the review
Edit: I can't believe I forgot this... Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.

I quite liked Starbreezes The Chronicles of Riddick, escape from butcher bay. Though not necessarily a movie tie per se its close enough for me. Lets face it, pretty much 99% of all movie tie ins are crap.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
Goldeneye by a country mile
Lord of the rings: bfme2 is a great game though
Lego Star wars is good fun aswel.

Another vote for Goldeneye, utterly awesome...

Well it is set in the Star Wars universe, but it's not a normal film to game conversion, but it did make superb use of the star wars license.
Most film to game conversions are pretty dire, usually because the license is bought up by someone like EA, and trying to make a quick buck while riding the wave of the films release, get a game out as quickly as possible, so usually the quality isn't very good. Looking at my games collection, aside from a few gems like KotOR, which isn't a true film to game, I don't have any (I'm very picky about my games).
Although, I would say CoD is a good film to game conversion, although it's got no official license, most of it is a blatant ripoff of several films (the russian section was basically enemy at the gates), but it was done very well IMO. Dead Rising, you could say as well, heavily inspired by Dawn of the Dead, but it doesn't really follow it apart from the setting.
I've heard EFBB is a very good game, I have it myself but can't get it working on my PC, something about an OpenGL error that I havn't bothered to get round to fixing yet.
Goldeneye: Classic in it's time.
KOTOR: Not a true movie tie in, but set in the same universe.
Battle for Middle Earth II: Not a true tie in, but it's a very good game.
another vote for goldeneye i probably played that game more than any other game since!
KOTOR if were allowed it, Lego star wars, and if were going on how excited i was to get it, the Matrix, which to be honest, was pap, but i was soo desperate to find out the story i played it anyway.
Like most, I think franchise games are rubbish - goldeneye was good though.
I actually really liked Spiderman 2 though, but the novelty of zippin in and out of a scaled New York wore out...
