Sony has a track record (especially with the GT series) to ONLY release pictures of pre-rendered FMV.

I would take any screenies with a pinch of salt.

rofl @ the fanboys on that thread. the best is the one who claims he writes code for both systems.. *snigger*

might look like that, might not. its going to look mighty special either way, and hopefully have a few more cars on the track than the last version - meaning close racing with all the other benefits of gt4 ahoy. i can't wait.

I wouldn't take it as gospel either, afterall - the screenshots you could take with GT3 were a little different to when the game was running...

the pre-order dates have started slipping in most stores. lots of places are now quoting september 2007. gt4 ended up delayed by something like 2 years by the end of it..

Looks very purdy. If I had to guess i'd say the toyota shots are game engine and the scooby is pre-rendered. seems to be a chunky difference in quality.

Because Polyphony Digital is owned by Sony

Polyphony Digital Inc. is a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., and is a software developer entity. Originally a development group within Sony Computer Entertainment, the creators of “Gran Turismo ” established Polyphony Digital Inc. in 1998.

If it's anywhere near as good as the others it'll sell in droves, and i'll be at the front of the queue.

i've bought all the GTs so far and as this looks extra hawt i shall be copping...

and that GT pre-rendered stuff is rubbish imo, GTs have always been the benchmarks for racing games graphics-wise, for example GTR2 doesn't looks very disimilar... (although it is a superior racer)

*tbh im surprised they got 1080p @ 60hz already, i saw some footage from e3 06 (i think) and it was kinda rubbish fps-wise.. good stuff
