Whichever logitech you prefer. I like the MX1000 for the 3buttons on the side, great for switching weapons.

Yeah, I'd swap my MX510 for a G5, but just one button on the side isn't enough for me.

I've just swapped my MX510 for a Microsoft Habu, which I reckon I find comfortabler than a G5 (at a guess, without having used a G5) but mainly to keep two side buttons

It's a very nice and comfy mouse, but the software is broken and can only be installed by Matthew Broderick in Wargames. Hopefully they will fix it one day

I need a mouse which stops my little finger from having to hover in the air for hours on end so any ideas guys?

It's starting to cause my lower arm/Wrist area to go numb if I play or even use a mouse for more than 30-50 minutes and afterwards it feels weird, quite like the feeling of a blood pressure monitor allowing only a small flow of blood back to the hand.

The new logitech ones look like you can get your whole hand on them. you'd have to have a grope though.

Personally I just let my finger drag on the mouse mat. If If you have small hands(read:normal), most of the logitech gaming ones have space to grip the mouse with the 3rd and 4th fingers. I have big hands so my last two fingers sit on the mousemat.

    I have a Logitech MX-518 and can't fault it.
The G5 does look nice though...

I had that exact same problem with my MX510, the habu seems to solve the problem for me but what I did in the meantime is get a logitech marble mouse from your good selves for £14, which I use for general windows use as well as RTS's etc.

Then when I bust out the habu for BF2142, I am totally unaccustomed to the high resolution and repeatedly spin round on the spot before getting shot

Don't suppose anyone would know if you can still get Half-Life rat pads these days?

Seriously doubt it, but I have missed mine's ever since

Could you not grip your mouse on the side with your little finger and thumb respectively? Then you have your other three fingers free for placement with your preferred style? That way your little finger won't be in the air ?
