You know, I was thinking that I will probably wait until next year, but reading all these reports now I WANT ONE RIGHT NOW.
amazon will have some on at 3pm this afternoon.
Might be an idea to have a look there if ya want one.
Bear in mind that last time they put them on they wold in 7 minutes
I am looking forward to actually trying the controller. How accurate is it? is it really a revolution in game control or just a gimmick (albeit a very good one)?
Sports game on a console? Wow that must be such an awesome, new experience?![]()
What is the attraction to this console? i fail to see, sports games are complete and utter ****.
Come-on smokey, un-repress your childhood!![]()
I managed to get one from the sale at amazon today![]()
Please please please please please stop waving around your Wii's, we're all extremely jealous!
This is the first console I've ever bought (PC's for 11+ years) and I am a Wii addict![]()
hehe Allen THere have been loads of incidents of controllers smashing tvs since the launch in us.
Using the wrist strap should help and all games are telling you to put the strap on before you start.
TKH about 10 of us in working where tryig to get one of the new batch at 3 but all failed.
Nintendo are on the up again with this console. After the N64 and GC the wii is really looking like it could be huuge!!!
Just had a go on my mates, he had it on pre-order but still went down at 2am to wait for the shop to open at 7! In Middlesbrough. In the cold. In the rain. In the wind.
But it's really coolJust kicked his ass at baseball, but he beat me at golf and tennis
It's a really intuitive idea, and only took me about 2 minutes to get used to it. Wouldn't say the graphics on Wii sports are anything special but the way you play more than makes up for it
I would say they are a bit too oversensitive, ie on the golf one, I was swinging as I usually would and it was way too powerful. Also, in the baseball, when you're pitching, it doesnt' seem to matter how fast you do it, it always goes the same speed as far as I could see :/
But all in all it's really cool and i'm quite tempted to get one next year or something
*edit*
Oh and they must have really have been going over the top, as I was throwing my arm pretty hard and it didn't feel at all like it was ever going to come out of my hand!
my sons 15th birthday today. collected wii at 12.08(3rd sale in watford)
wii sports is excellent.(specific sports games will be unbelieveable)
