Newbie WoW player needs some advice

well I bit the dust and stated playig it and it is darn addictive!

One thing that has puzzled me however is that I have picked up some armour but it shows as red meaning i can't wear it what am I doing wrong please.

I'm a lvl 6 dwarve hunter.

As a hunter, you may only wear cloth and leather armour. And it has to be equal to or less than your level.

If it's mail or plate armour, or if the level requirement is above 6 then you'll be unable to use it.

Okay mate several things could make it red to you:

1. Hunters, up until level 40, can only wear cloth and leather armour. If the armour is mail, it will be red to you as you cannot wear it.

2. It could be that you do not match the level requirements for the armour. For example, it could have a level requirement of level 10, where as you are only level 6.

Out of these two, I would suggest option 1 is your problem.

Nie one guys that's exactly what is is, i've been luggin about 8 peices of mail armour which i can now get rid of!

Oh and it might have a durability of 0/xx which means its broken you can fix up your armor by talking to a armour / weapon person and clicking repair at the bottom of the trade window
