The internet will be free on the Wii. the browser beta is being released soon (today I think I could be wrong). As for online gaming with others that isn't available yet and wont be until sometime in the middle of next year(the first game to have that function WILL be the next Pokemon for the Wii). but as far as it's been said that will also be free. The news and weather channels should be up and running by the new year.

...and the weather channel was released earlier this week.

with regards to other accessories, i'd recommend getting a third party SD card. Dont buy a Wii branded one, as they're over priced. Also look into buying a Wii classic controller, if you dont own any gamecube ones. They're great for playing any games you download off the online shop to play on the virtual console.

Internet Access is still in something of a beta-phase. Updates are being released every week which sees more and more features, but with online play wont be available until (i heard) march. As previously stated, to coincide with the release of pokemon.

if you post you're wii number ill add you to me list

I have a question regarding the Wii too, mine arrived in the post this morning. I haven't opened it yet but I'm under the impression it comes with just the one controller.

If I want to play Wii Sports with another person, what extra peripherals do they need? Just a Wiimote or a Nunchuku too?

Last but not least, are the remotes rechargeable? Is there some sort of 'play and charge' kit?

You only need an extra nunchuck for boxing in wii sports. Som games can actually be played with only one remote.

    Not rechargable i'm afraid.

Ninty will be releasing a USB Network adapter to hook up your Wii to a wired network.

There is a USB network adapter out there that works now, you can get it from newegg.com.

Do a search on HEXUS.gaming and you'll find the story about it with all the info.

The USB thing into your PC is to use the Wiimote with a PC, which isn't the same as hooking your Wii up to your network.

Its for people to run in to HD panels - even though it's a lower resolution its "crisper"
