Xbox 360 hard drive only 11 gig free

When I got it, there was about 11 gig free on it, so I deleted all the demos and stuff that I didnt need and that left about 14 gig free.

What is taking up the rest of the space, and how can I clear it?

    Thanks

Is it occupied by the system files or something? Always been confused why It's publiscised as 20gb and yet you only start with 11 :S

Xbox 1 emulation needs to keep xx about of space, plus the caching space to make 360 games load faster.

    Ok thanks for that

One thing that is puzzling me though..

The xbox core system, does that have no hard drive at all then, or just an even smaller one?

So if the core system doesnt have the hard drive, does that mean that it is much slower in games as it doesnt have the cache?

Loading takes longer on some games (v. noticable on oblivion)

Sneaky King, Dashboard is not stored on the HDD (otherwise ppl with core wouldnt have it)
