    PSP, do I need one?

I was given a DS Lite for Christmas and I'm loving it at the moment

But I've also had a go on my Sisters fellas PSP and I like what's going on there too! Now the Viking deal ends on the 30th and I must admit I quite fancy one. But do I really need one or is it a bit greedy?

The white one looks pretty snazzy too btw. Another option to ponder...........

Only you can answer that question! It's basically like having a PS2, so if you're a PS2 fan I'd say go for it. Check out a few more games on his and make a decision. I'm the opposite, I've got a PSP and I'm tempted by a DS.

If your sisters got one, you probably don't need your own, unless she really hogs it

Definitely good question though - dont' buy it for the console itself, think about what games you want to play on it, both now, and in the future, and if your only coming up with 3 games or something, i'd stick to your DS without a doubt. I think for Video there are better portable players (And i'm sure you have an Ipod Video or equivalent)

If it's 2.80 firmware or under, get it >: D

Check QJ.Net or something if you're prepared to risk what you bought to use homebrew, and enjoy the aaaaaaaaaawesome life of homebrew apps and such. And the new PS1 emulator if that floats your boat, although I think that may be slightly illegal since you need your own image for that (I'm not sure on the logistics of making your own ISO from your purchased PS1 games, I don't have the 3.02OE-B firmware on my PSP yet.

I own a PSP myself and its a great multimedia gadget. Dont have to just play games on it. You can store mp3's, watch videos and even go online.
Though if you own a DS, I'm not to sure if its worth it if your only in for the gaming.

well...you don't need one...but it sure is nice to have one.
i love my PSP! i mainly use it on long car journeys and when im bored on holiday (eg. when i wake up at 11.30 and find my family have gone off without me) the only thing i dont like about it is on GTA, because theres no L2 and R2, so looking to the side is harder also the battery life isnt great, so you may need to get 2 if your far away from being able to charge it up.

now to colours i own a black one, bought it just before the white one came out and well...i was gutted, i think the white one looks so much better than the black one.

so i'd say get one if you want one

    IMHO no.

I had mine since launch and have just sold it.

There are not enough AAA games on it.

ITs very shiny and all but IF I had the choice now I would have bought a DS instead

You see shiny is the thing isn't it? Plus the hour tube ride to and from work everyday seems like a great time to game (ok so the DS does this already) and watch movies.

i've never experienced that before... FIFA 06 didnt take too long to load, and neither does GTA on the start up bit, which i remember tkaing 2 minutes on PS2, it took about 30 seconds on my PSP.

count how long it takes from selecting the disc in the XMB to actual play

    lumines is quick

gta, wipeout, and others (especially sports or wrestling), are not
