I can't load the page, but do you mean raw dump of the text in the game or as I interpret the title of this thread, a raw dump of the game itself, ie an illegal copy of the data?

There are a few dumps of Wii games in the wild now - I'm pretty sure it'll only be a matter of time before firmware mods a la 360 come about.

Shame there might not be any Wii homebrew for a while :\

BTW Link is broken, here's a link to the info about it:

Would probably never mess about with downloading console games and then modding it as once its gone, its gone. But I would for PC games probably.

I know there is one for Red Steel about also, I thought it was hard to write DVD GameCube/Wii games because of the holographic protection near the centre of the disc which only some DVD-R/W supports.

If it is the file then surely that's against Hexus' forum rules to be talking about it, let alone having a staff member post new thread about it :/

It's fine to have discussion about pirating I thought, but so long as it's not blatant "This is how you pirate games"

I'm not aware of the Wii being modified to play such things yet, however I have heard that the security is very similar to that of the Gamecube (which was broken some time ago), so I doubt it will take long.

Remember game dumps for X360 were around long before the DVD Drives were cracked (and were essentially useless as they missed the required codes), and it's likely the same for Wii and PS3. Dumping is easy, cracking is a little harder.

    "raw dump" could mean anything

here's how to do a raw dump of anything that a DVD drive recognises as valid media:

    "dd if=/dev/dvd of=/tmp/dump.raw bs=1M"

    wow, real complex!

    Rules?

I don't even know what it means, just been seeing quite a bit of interest in it so thought you geezers might be able to explain.

This is just release info... no downloads or anything like that so it should be fine

There is also a dump of red steel too, just need to find some way playing the damn thing

    It's being worked on though...
