    LAN party

Only ever been to 1 LAN party which was down in Leicester and was a good laugh really. I quite fancy going to another one as it's been a couple of years now, but I'm finding it difficult to find any!

Ideally I'm after a local one, so near Newcastle, but not adverse to travelling. Not after a huge one like i20 etc, anyone got and leads?

Hmm, maybe with broadband speeds rising, LAN parties have lost their appeal? Personally I liekd the fact that you could shout to people across the room when they killed you!

I know of a few going on in the midlands i.e Uttoxeter in the next few months

Pritsey - Nah mate they still have their appeal. It's the banter, drunken lightsabre fun ( cue Platinum and Bobster et al to come and post pics ) as well as all the random funny things such as config editing while people are on the toliet, phone or gone to tesco to get beers.

Ahh LAN *goes in nostalgia mode* I better mail the guys to see if we should go to the next one March.

We are currently in the testing stage and hosted our first LAN party last month. We have another testing night coming up in a couple of weeks before we go live!

It's in Lewes East Sussex and i will post on here the details once we've confirmed everything.

there are loads of LAN's in london, and the iSeries arn't that far away.

Still, fragsoc down in york is more worth the trip
